we werent paying a promoter.. the venue itself had no down payment we just set a date & we didnt make money until we got a certain amount of heads through the door.. then the venue turned around & said well since you got this guy headlining you need to pay several hundred down for security.. if you can find a venue to book a show at for free then you live in a lucky place yo.. its not like that out here.. venues want money up-front out here..

Venues pay you because they make money off of you. You should never have to pay a venue and I’m sure they have security the whole night regardless of you being there because the security is there for the bigger name not you so you shouldn’t have to pay a god damn security fee, I seriously think they are taking advantage of you and scamming you.

lol please tell me your research wasnt google.. a venue pays big name acts to come & perform.. for example: icp & twiztid.. no venues are lookin to book no name local cats like you & myself.. please do some real research & grab your yellow pages & find a venue willing to pay you to perform.. it wont happen.. & yes the venue had security but they were lookin to UP their security & my homie was paying the fee cuz he was putting together the show not the headliner who was taking advantage of my him.. i dont know why i said “we” when that cancelled show was all my homies doings & in his hands.. this new show we’re going to be doing together though

seriously if youve never tried to put together a show please do so so you can speak from experience on the matter.. every venue in the city arent collectively scamming everyone haha they need to pay their rent & need compensation for holding a show that might not make money when they could hold one that will make money.. its as simple as that..
