‘secure’, as a command, has different connotations, among members of the four branches [no love for the coast guard in that joke, but i imagine ‘secure’ for them means ‘detain everybody on the craft we are boarding’. @v_ron?]
army: make sure no one fucks with our building.
navy: close shop for the night.
marines: take the building [which is not ours, yet], and occupy it as a position.
air force: acquire rights to use the building for af business.
Its been awhile since I’ve been a boarding team member but secure has always meant to put away or lock up.
