at 18 I talked to a recruiter that came to my high school. next thing I know, I see this mother fucker EVERWHERE I went. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, so I said fuck it, and went to a recruiting office. next thing I know, im in a van going to Fort Meade I think, in MD, to take a test. I scored so low, (or alteast they said I did. I never saw the results,) that they said I could only do gun repair, or infantry. they wanted to me to sign some paper work, which they weren't clear on tellin me what it was. I said fuck that shit. never looked back.
I even told them I had knee problems and was into drugs before I took that stupid test, but they didn't give a shit. They just wanted to recruit motherfuckers and send them off. This was just post 9/11 too. They were willing to take broken pothead to war. smh
I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!

i took the asvab. scored in the 99th percentile.
they said i qualified for anything, including intelligence. i was like, 'intelligence? why? the cold war is over.'
if i had chased that, then after 911 they almost certainly woulda sent me to monterrey, where i wouldve gotten paid to learn languages [great gig]; then sent me to a nice, air conditioned room somewhere, where id have gotten paid to translate emails all day [another nice gig].
despite the scores, if i had enlisted, i probably wouldve gone infantry. whats the point of being a soldier, if you dont have a rifle?
if i had finished college, and rotc had counted for shit, then by 2001, idve been a new 2nd lieutenant, just getting used to my first platoon.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

I've been active duty for over ten years now. Haven't experienced anything bad or negative; if anything people are typically surprised that the "alternative looking" girl is a juggalo. Plus I transfer often so I've seen shows all over the country and have met some of the coolest, down to Earth people I'm still in contact with.

My oldest brother Beau was a Lieutenant of some kind in the Guard. He drove tanks and other heavy machinery I think. We never discussed war much. He showed me photos of camels and people he called Hajis, and some porno.
As for homie saying they still want bodies despite them being "traditionally unfit for service", Beau had a criminal background, occasionally did drugs, and was a diagnosed schizophrenic. They weren't picky.
He did two Afghanistan tours. One day I received a text from him that he had just experienced the scariest thing in his life. Thats saying something from a dude that lived his life, but anyway, the texts take a long time to reach the states, so I had no idea what was up. He came home after his tour, and it turn out he hit a roadside bomb or something similar. He damaged his brain in the accident, something that futher affected his mentals. He became a criminal when he returned home, even robbing my friends and gambling like a madman. One day he arrived at my apartment at ten pm to take me to meet his institutionalized mother in Indiana. He just lost whatever shred of sanity he had in the war.
He died like a year and a half ago. Just sat up in his bed and died. The brain injury apparently.
Military, how the fuck does that work.

94 on ASVAB. Given Radio Cryptology Exam (Never learned the score on that). Given the DLAB - scored 140 (qualified me for all languages). I went all the way to just before signing on the dotted line but never did. They even questioned/interviewed my family and friends for my top secret security clearance.
My favorite test was the DLAB. You are taught an imaginary language for like 30 minutes then given a test on the language with not one question using any of the words you learned. You have to derive the meaning from the context and conjugation.
Anyway, they said I was going to be in crypto-intelligence/cyber warfare division or something like that. I just couldn't resolve issues I had with the possibility that what I would be doing would result in someone dying. I would have probably been ok if they wanted me for the medical field. Saving lives instead.
That was another lifetime ago, though, back in 1989 when I just got out of high school.

On the topic at hand, I have no problem with anyone turning military because of limited options available in society from the results of the planned economic attacks on civilians. I only wish the tides would turn, and they'd attack the ones responsible for said attack against us, and not blindly do the bidding of the attackers, who end up sending you to kill people who don't have a single chance, or pose any threat to begin with, only to build their fat piggy mattresses up some more. Call me a dreamer, but if people weren't manipulated sheep, the military would be awesome for taking our own countries back.
