It was the weirdest thing ever. The whole game made sense. I understood the why they picked the music, why he made the noises he made. It was crazy. That's what 4 blunts of sour d will do to ya.

I'm 34 homie, I had Atari when I was a little kid. Looking back it fuckin' sucked, none of the games really ended or had a point really, but it was still the shit back then. Yar's Revenge, Pitfall, Raiders of the Lost Ark (The only game for Atari that I know of that actually had an ending), Pac-Man, Missile Command, bunch of other games that would make any modern day gamer gag. But it was the shit because besides Caleco-Vision, there was nothing else to compare it to. We had to go to the movie theater to play the real arcade games, and trust me, that was a big step up back then. All of them only cost a quarter back then too, I got addicted to pinball, Terminator, Simpsons and Jurassic Park pinball games especially. Then Nintendo came out.....
Super Mario Bros./Duck hunt, TMNT 1&2:The Arcade Game, RC Racer, Rad Racer, Double Dragon 1&2, Tecmo Bowl, Tecmo Baseball, Blades of Steel,Mike Tyson's Punch Out (Only beat him once, there was a rumor that if you took a picture of Mike Tyson down for the count and Mario saying TKO and sent the picture in to Nintendo Power Magazine they would give you any 3 games that you wanted, probably not true. I beat him once and couldn't believe it, and had a camera ready every time after that, and wouldn't you know it, I could never beat him again. So who knows if the rumor was true. Face it, Mike Tyson was a beast in that game.) The Legend of Zelda, The Adventures of Link, Commando, Contra, I could go on for hours. Sorry about that.
Sega Genius had all the Sonic the Hedgehog games (which I literally played to death every morning listening to Countdown to Extinction and Master of Puppets), Mercs, Golden Axe 2, lots of good shit.
SNES had Super Mario World (Yoshi muthafucka), Pilotwings, Final Fight, man I used to play that game for hours and never beat it. only came close once, that game was hard as fuck man.
To answer your question as to a favorite retro game (Sorry for the rant there), I would say Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. I played that game so much, and can never resist a chance to play it again, when those rare opportunities arise. I always tried to kill that fucking dog that always laughed at me on Duck Hunt, tried to shoot him about a thousand times. Never could though. I still wanna kill that fucking dog.

Newest consoles we have are the Wii (in laws Xmas gift) and the simple DS. I loved the DS for its cool RPGS like rereleases of Dragon's Quest games. Also the og Final Fantasy II & III were released (not the American V & VI) and I best them both on DS. Therewas a short but sweet modern Simpsons ggame for DS too. You got to fight Futurama characters at the end n shit.
Anyone play a DS RPG called "The World Ends With You"? I liked that shit.
Sad nobody else played any of those old PC games. I'll throw a couple more names out there.. Blake Stone, Halloween Harry, Jazz the Jackrabbit, Jetpack!...
Uninvited for NES was scary.
