Do any of you like musicals? I can rock out to that shit. Fiddler on the Roof is my shit. A Funny thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is also good, Les Mis is the shit, Into the Woods is good. Fuck Annie though, I hate that shit.

Rock Operas count too, like The Devils Carnival and Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Any of you like musicals?

Rocky horror picture show was pretty entertaining. Never did like when a television show decided to have a musical episode. I couldn't stand when the Simpsons would break out into song.

by and large, i dislike musicals.  but there are exceptions.

a funny thing happened on the way to the forum is one of the funniest movies of all time...  but the songs wear off much faster than the rest of the movie.

The movie "All That Jazz" is amazing. Dark, funny, and there's a choreographed jungle orgy number in the middle.

I've seen 23 shows on Broadway. Stephen Sondheim is my favorite composer.

I spent age 17-23 as working actor, traveling Canada performing in different musicals, my favorite part I ever played was Nicely Nicely in Guys and Dolls.

I posted a photo of me as Batman in a dinner theater show in this thread-

I own about 80 musicals on cd.

My favorite musical is probably Carousel.

@miklo-velka , That's cool! Ever thought of Hollywood style acting (movies, tv)?

I love NYC, but I'm pretty settled in Toronto now. Broadway is the shit though, everyone should experience it for a few weeks.

I had a group of theater friends that organized annual trips there from the west coast Canada. We even got paid to sing carols at Sardi's restaurant for several New Years Eve's , great memories for sure!smile

I definitely tried to cross over into tv, it's what I moved to Toronto for. I played a role in a war musical called "We Will Not Forget" that ran on Remembrance Day(Canada's Veteran's day) on the CBC television network for years up here. We even made a cast album for that that was pressed up on tape and cd. That was probably the biggest thing I did before I switched to the more stable career I have now.
