Long story short, GTA V kind of sucks IMO and I didn't care much for Saints Row IV either. My favorite GTA game was GTA IV, and my favorite Saints Row was Saints Row 2. If I had to choose an absolute favorite, I'd have to say Saints Row. Mainly because of all the options it gives you to customize your own character, and a bunch of cool and insane activities to do. Shit, other Juggalos were stoked to see a Juggalo and being able to create one in GTA V, but you've been able to do that in Saints Row since the second one. Maybe since the first SR too, I'm not too sure on that.

I think GTA and Saints Row are great in their own way. I like the first Saints Row best. Saints Row IV is fun as fuck still, I love that game. GTA V is great, looks great on PS4.

i have to go with Saints Row, i lost interest in GTA around like 3 or 4. Saints row on the other ahnd just gets more fun and random with time.

Saints row pisses me off so fuckin bad, it's the stupidest pile of shit ever. Returned 3 day of purchase, and played 4 at a friends house, and was so glad I boycotted that abortion of a game. GTA actually has compelling stories, with fuckin hilarious social satire. Way better in every way.

I'll go with GTA completely for the story and the mind blowing enhancements they put into every game. They put game changing and progressive ideas into their games. Plus, like Lt. B, the social satire is always great. Especially since they never actually pick a side, they make fun of everybody. Hands down GTA for me.
But, I do have to say, The first Saints Row was fucking great. The story telling was much better, not GTA good, but better. And it all went down hill from there. It devolved into an on going joke that completely demeaned any of the story from the first one. The second wasn't bad on story telling either. The one thing that Saints Row does have over GTA is the customization. It was much better in the first game. Went down hill more and more along with the graphics as THQ went broke. The pure wackiness is cool for the laughs and having just pure fun, but completely ruins any chance of rekindling any chance of taking the story seriously. And the glitches. That game is so fucking glitchy. I have to point out that in the first game the chains were actually 3d models that swung back and forth. In the second game the chains were 2d pieces of shit.
Also @ltb you should try the first and second one. But going into the 3rd and 4th knowing that the story is shit and it's more or less a game to laugh at and have fun with. It's not a bad game, it's just the disappointing direction of complete wackiness that they went into.

Saints Row The Third was alright, it's said to have been the favorite installment of the series by many gamers. But Saints Row IV? Just went way too far with with the silliness. I still played it, somewhat enjoyed it. Just wish it hadn't taken the silliness THAT far. Saints Row IV is like Scary Movie 4, it's just beyond dumb.

THQ did the first three Saints Row games, and Saints Row 4 was supposed to be a downloadable content story for Saints Row 3. So Saints Row 5 is the first game actually made by the new owners. Can't remember who bought Saints Row. I think it was the same people that bought WWE games.

The biggest thing you will hate about it is the too-frequent freezing up of the game Some people have told me they quit IV half way into it because the game freezes up too often, sometimes in irritating points in the game. I think it froze up on me 12 or 13 times until I finished it.

I never had too much of a problem with freezing up in Fallout 3. Now Fallout New Vegas, I heard that is glitchy as hell and freezes alot.

GTA V for sure.. I don't like how Saint Row pretty much made a over the top cheap rip off of Grand Theft Auto and then diss them in their trailer.. I like the saints row games but they get old after playing for a few hours for me.. Saints Row 2 was the best one but I don't think any of their games hold a candle to Grand Theft Auto.. just my opinion

Pretty much the only games I play are GTA and SR. I do play Bully a lot, I only own a PS2, which is fine with me, I love PS2 games. Got some Tony Hawk's Underground. But the best is Bully, or the GTA Trilogy I have.
