Thoughts? Favorites? Least favorites? Don't give a shit?

I listen to Penn's Sunday School, Stuff You Should Know, and Thinking Atheist.

Can't fucking stand Kevin Gill's show. I really tried to because some of his guests are ones that I definitely want to listen to but the dude just doesn't shut up with that, presumably, fake ass wrestling promoter voice.

Penn's sunday school is cool. My favorite is the No Agenda show with Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak. Hardcore History is great too. The only Kevin Gill show I peeped was the one with Violent J.

Hardcore History sounds promising. The one with J was when I decided to stop trying. Fourty-five minutes in a dude was still talking about some uninteresting shit while I waited for J to finally show up.

I kind of forgot about Joe Rogan. Are the shows still like four hours long?

Usually under three hours long.

Some, like Rogan's, are conversations with a guest. His guests usually vary between world-class comedians and scientists to martial artists and authors. I always lol and learn something new.

Ice T's podcast is my favorite, it's funny, and the guests are usually always interesting. I like the Combat Jack show a lot too, but I usually only listen to that when I'm a fan of the guest.

This message was sent from my Atari 2600 through fiber optic cable made of fucks I no longer give.

I tried them because I've heard a lot about Opie and Anthony and they had some really interesting guests but man, that Opie guy is nauseating as fuck to me.

Opie is a tool. With Anthony gone with a hilarious new show here:

Opie has to actually talk now, and, ew.

to be clear, a podcast is just a internet radio show?  There is a local radio show called The News Junkie, here in Central FL, that I listen to, only because its funny, and gives the off the wall news.  Has an app with a bunch of podcasts on it.

I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!

Podcasts seem to be digital video, audio, or even PDF files streamed or downloaded from the internet.

I think "podcast" is a term that will be extinct soon but for now, yeah, internet radio shows basically. Regular radio is either dying or adapting to the new environment and trying to find a way to be podcast-ish. Which is to say, the DJ's/faces/whatever's actually get to be themselves and have opinions on things.

Yeah Apple has always done stuff like that, taking existing techs and abilities and branding it as their own. Synchronized audio with other media in a radio style format had been around before apple started branding it. I like how apple "invented" the iCloud and it was (according to them) the newest and greatest thing to hit the world. I was using synchronized network storage years before the "cloud" word came into being. Apple likes advertising "new" features on their phones like they are the ones who thought of them. When the iPhone came out with fingerprint recognition, I thought it was funny because my non-apple phone had it for 2 years before iPhone decided to add it to their phone. Then they patent it and try to sue the people who had it already but decided not to patent it because it was an existing technology. Reminds me of Thomas Edison "inventing" the light bulb. He was just someone who decided to patent an existing invention. An invention that had been around for several decades but was not patented. The same goes for other Edison's "invention": the movie camera, the telegraph, the electric generator, and several others. He was just the guy who decided to patent something that already existed. In my eyes Apple is just as evil as Thomas Edison. They are both nothing but popular and respected patent trolls. They were both thieves. ... Apples tried suing Microsoft for the look and feel of the Windows operating system because Apple had it patented but Apple did nothing but steal that look and feel from Xerox's X-Windows which existed for several years before Apple decided to patent it.

As you can see I have no respect for companies like Apple. They are the worst of the worst. They hinder innovation by trademarking and patenting public technologies then suing anyone who tries to expand on the innovation.

That's my rant... for now.

I listen to podcasts every single day.

JRE is by far my favorite

Smodcast and Hollywood Babble-On

Bill Burr

Ari Shaffirs Skeptic Tank

The Nerdist

Shoddycast(mostly an elder scrolls one)

All I can think of at the moment, but I will add that I agree with Dan Carlins Hardcore History. Ive only listened to the Wrath of the Kahn episodes but I remember being completely enthralled with it.

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm a bit of an anti-apple person. Probably to the point of being irrational about it. It most likely biases my view on everything related to apple so that I only see the negative things and my mind automatically ignores the positive aspects, if there are any. It's not a very evolved mindset, but oh well. I like my irrational hatred. It makes me feel all tingly inside.

Apple HQ is powered by a furnace in the basement that feeds off of the souls of small children.

I find it exciting to see what the next big breakthrough is gonna be. A lot of it doesnt matter but much of it does matter, and the applications are gonna change the way we live for the better.
