lmao

Not one, but TWO genital mutilation scenes! Those were really the only parts that had me cringing, but I cringed for quite a while.

Almost forgot about this one; it's clever, funny, and a great tribute to classic slasher films.

I honestly haven't picked up on that being mentioned all that much? lol I don't have much alcohol over here anyways..

Then I'd politely like to point out that it's probably bullshit then.  Apparently the set for Friday the 13th part 5 is considered especially bad in that aspect.

Well, they are only on part 3 so perhaps it's coming up.

Haha, yeah, one of the producers said something about how he wanted to have the T&A in the film, forget the fans, he wanted to see it.

I think A Nightmare on Elm Street did just fine without it. Aside from the nurse in Dream Warriors and the poster model in the water bed, I don't think there is any nudity in the series.

I was never much of a freddy fan. Jason, Michael Myers, Candyman and Hellraiser are my favorites, and they have all had nudity in them.

I'd probably say Elm Street is the best series.

I loved the original Nightmare On Elm St., Dream Warriors, A New Nightmare, Freddy Vs. Jason and the remake.

Ultimately, like most slasher flicks, they just get too campy and corny and Nightmare stopped being scary and got really goofy.

Candyman is one of my all time favorite movies, because it's not just a slasher flick, it actually had substance behind it. That's what I look for in horror films is something deeper than just a guy killing college kids.

That's ultimately the down fall for most slasher films as well. They stop being dark and sinister and scary and evil and they turn into these basic template following blood fests filled with dry humor. Same issue I have with horrorcore actually. Too much uninspired bullshit.

Could you give an example of one of these movies?

I think he means movies like blair witch project, spirit in the woods, the lost footage genre of horror films. I personally love lost footage movies. Watch "Quarantine". Good stuff.

that is what i'm talking about, "as above so below", "sanatorium", there was a Ouija movie... my dad loves those movies and they are all the same thing, somebody has a camera goes into a "haunted house" or something of the sort. and then the ghost/demon/whatever kills them and/or their friends, and you see nothing because it's supposed to look like armatures filmimg it

Quarantine/REC, Frankenstein's Army, and The Rise of Leslie Vernon are the only "found footage" movies that I can enjoy. Quarantine and REC feel like you're watching an awesome video game cut scene, Frankenstein's Army only uses the found footage thing for the first third of the movie. If you can make it through it (the beginning is boring as fuck) it becomes an awesome practical effects monster movie, and The Rise of Leslie Vernon uses it in a very creative way.

As Above So Below was the shit. I mean they actually found the passage into hell! Whats scarier than that?

Im sick to death of found footage films...sometimes they make it work but most of the time its headache inducing. The new Friday the 13th thats coming out next year is incorporating found footage..I really hope they dont but im sure its going to suck anyway...movies like as above so below or Quarintine I cant stand...REC was good though because it wasnt an american movie..I did like Frankenstens Army though...had some good creature FX

Im really looking forward to the new texas chainsaw massacre. After the last extremely  shitty movie, I really hope they do this one justice. I guess leatherface is a teenager in this one .I have high hopes for this since its being directed by french filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo that did Livid,Inside and Among the living...great and talented filmmakers...looking forward to Leatherface.

I heard Blumhouse is remaking Martyrs?? god why...lol...the og is just fine the way it is...American remake will fuck that all up.
