I am sure some of you ninjas play this...so whats it like? Do you enjoy it?
I recently got back into DnD after many years away but was always really interested in Morton's list. I always hear about people playing it but I have not had the chance myself...is it like DnD? How long do general sessions last?
Shit any input would be great been curious about it a lot lately and watching and reading stuff on it.

I've always described it as DnD but you physically go out and do quests in the real world. The 360 add on book deals with ranks and titles. I would recommend it with caution.

It's one hour of a randomly generated activity. Everything under the sun and moon would be possible and/or is covered. I wouldn't compare it to D&D at all, there is no role-play and the game takes place in the real world, not in collective imaginations. It's pretty simple. You role some dice, then do an activity. An hour later you are done.
Caveat: It would be possible to have role-playing as your randomly generated activity. There are a few gaming quests.

It is a door to life experiences that you couldn't achieve from cell phone-gazing.
Some of my favorite stories involve the Deviations where you have to add something crazy to your already crazy (or seemingly mundane) Quest.
We had a simple Quest: make money. However, by that time it was after anyone's work hours. We didn't have any drugs to sell, either. So... we decided to return some cans and bottles to the store (in NY you get 5 cents a can, for those of you who don't know)....
Simple, right?
But the Deviations meant that we had to be holding on to a certain item that we picked beforehand, AT ALL TIMES. I don't even remember what I chose.. but my brother chose to hold my gigantic samurai sword. So he had to walk into a Super-Duper (grocery store) with a gigantic sword.
Needless to say, we just barely accomplished our goal of "make money" before we had to run out, trying to explain ourselves lol
Also, a great Ouija game involving a spirit named Ruth that died of cancer. Scary shit, real or not.
To answer you, Nyro: no matter what happens, better or worse, Morton's List is genius. And you will accrue memories like students accrue college debt. Do it.

kinda 'be a juggalo', the game.
ive only played one time, in 2002, in a parking garage in peoria. the guys we were tryin to play with did such a lousy job of makin the game clear to us that i was pretty sure they were just inventing shit off the tops of their heads. my boy won the game, or completed the quest, or whatthehellever, by mooning people out of an elevator. or mooning people in an elevator. had to do with mooning and elevators.

Not exactly Morton's List related but has some elements to it....
One of our forum members, @dribblybob , has a car entered into the "Oktoberfest German Heritage Race - Modified Hot Wheels Volkswagen Golf Outdoor Racing". It happens later today.
The car has the Morton's List "Cosmic Law" on the hood and hatch, and the Morton's List Table Paths on the roof, and of course the number is 17.
And an attempt at zooming in to his car...
P.S. ... Just found out from DribblyBob that the car's name is "Sir Lore Galore" as in the Lore Galore table of Morton's list. Yeah, I know, the name is Lore Galore but the images on the car are Cosmic Law.

I know Nyro hasn't been on here in quite a while, but for those that do know him/knew him on here... He recently had a stroke while undergoing a surgery and is currently learning to walk again. Hopefully he makes a full recovery but at this point hard to say exactly. Keep him in your thoughts/prayers/vibes/whatever you believe in. Peace
