It's been so long, but if I recall, even though Ben may not be the popper of the underage cherry, he gets her off. That's where I kind of figured that Beverly decides who she really loves the deepest or something. She thought something like Bill was good but didn't make her see the birds or something, then Ben turned her out. Eddie, Mike, Stan and Richie pretty much just go through the motions. 

I didn't even know what an orgasm was at that point, but I could sort of get what King was getting at, despite this. 

I don't flip about it much overall. I wrote a short story in college about a female couple who develop a sort of random ESP after traveling alone in the California redwoods. It starts subtly then slowly manifests into an uncontrollable force. They use it for their own benefit when trying to read the mind of a hotel clerk that wants to charge them for bringing their cat to a hotel that isn't pet friendly. Through the ESP one girl can figure out how to get enough info to navigate a way out of the pet charge. There is a huge college party going on at this crowded hotel while they're there. Like crazy drunken fools. Soon the ESP is so open that the two of them can't even block the interior monologues of everyone around them and their own actual hooting and hollering. Then something bad happens, won't spoil it.... anyway, despite all of that story, the only thing that the majority of my class (younger kids, mostly, than myself) could focus on was the fact that the couple was a lesbian couple. These overly politically correct fucking college dorks, mostly females, were flipping out that I was a male that had the nerve to put a lesbian couple in my own story. You'd think the newer generations would be more blind to homosexuality and tolerant, but man they were acting like I was doing a fantasy porn. The girls had no sexual scenes, not even more than a hug. What I'm getting at is that lots of people only focus on whatever makes them uncomfortable, or what they think is uncomfortable to others. I just wanted to tell the story they way it was presented to me in my stream of conscious, like how I imagine Stephen King did with IT. And his many other controversial stories.

Lived in upstate NY for most of my life. Overall, lots of poor, desperate folks. Mostly white and black. Best pizza n wings.

Lived in northern PA at times. Secluded, sort of cool yet wary people. Nice fishing.

Lived in eastern NC for 3 years. Fun times at the ocean, and with some crazy folks. Overall, the most dark and evil experiences and vibes ever in my life. I could write 3 books.

Have been in northeastern CO for 3 years. Sunny, great herb, most diverse county in the state. Nowhere much to fish. Meth, crack and opiates like anywhere else. That shit is everywhere. Decreased since cannabis legalization. May leave at some point due to pricey real estate. But still like it.

Evil people everywhere. Good people in pockets everywhere.
