And hate movies that people love.
The alien vs predator movies: i love them, yet mostly everybody else hates them. Why? What was wrong with them?
BASEketball: movie makes me laugh my ass off.
The Blair Witch Project and found footage films: blair witch gets tons of hate, but why? Try watching that shit in your basement with all the lights off.
Punisher War Zone: This was as close to the garth ennis MAX series as it got. This was dark, gritty and unforgiving. As a long time reader of The Punisher comics, i was extremely satisfied with War Zone. Yet it was the lowest grossing Marvel film of all time. Bullshit. Film was a masterpiece.
And many others, but that's enough to get this thread started i think.

the only movie i dont like (i havent seen it though) is the punisher one.
but im an australian, so im a weirdo. i thought the AVP movies were absolutely amazing.
even predators was dope as fuck.
and baseketballs is a great comedy!

The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren? Yeah, it sucks i will admit that. Even though Lundgren i thought fit the look of Frank Castle quite well.

Blair Witch is pretty fuckin' awesome. You don't need effects. I just try to put myself in that position when I watch it. It's pretty cool.

That is true sir. But when a movie gets panned by critics, all the sheep just take the critic's word and assume that's the truth without even viewing it themselves. Alot of great movies i believe, do terrible in the box offices because of the fucking critics.
I quit listening to critics a long time ago. They don't know shit.

I disagree....most of the time they know what they are talking about....my opinions are very close to that of movie critics...I have seen so many movies that I know what is good and bad and what works and doesnt work....but to each their own. I wont even go see a movie unless its gets some what descent reviews...I hate watching shitty movies in a movie theater...waste of time and money....

Plus, Blair Witch Project is actually a fairly well liked movie. Both by critics and the public.

I try my best to avoid reviews or even trailers for that matter, I'll maybe watch about half a trailer and make a judgement call off of that. They give way too much away usually.
AVP was terrible though.

I like the blair witch...my friend literally hates that movie..I dont know why but I think its just popular to hate on it...he also hates titanic which I think is a great film....its just popular so some people just hate on its cuz its a romantic love story/popular film that most people love...
blair witch 2 was a piece o crap...I heard they are making another one? not sure though.
AVP the first was wasnt very good but it was no where the abomination that was requiem...god awful film. Nothing was redeeming about that movie,,,just bad.
Basketball is funny...I like that movie...is it a good film? not really but its funny and its the creators of south park...funny shit. Most comedies arent really good films...sometimes they get it right... like superbad. as long as a comedy makes me laugh a lot then I will forgive if its a bad movie....get hard...had a few laughs but damn that movie sucked.

I did not like Blair Witch. Horror movies have to be scary and that movie was far from that. In fact, I have never found a horror movie that scares me. Some horror comedies are ok since at least they make me laugh but for some reason horror movies never get me to the point of suspension of disbelief. Not one is even remotely scary.

I have never been scared by a horror film....but i love them cuz I love films in general...horror is my fav genre probably cuz I love the unknown which has been in my life since I was a child having shadow people watch over me...now thats scary.true shit.

to be honest I dont know what the fuck it was/is....black tall shadow things would fuck with me in my room and watch over me at night...I have heard other people that have experienced the same thing like in the "documentary" The Nightmare...so I have just called it "shadow people"....ghosts...aliens...I dont know but whatever it was, it scares the shit out of me..even still to this day they fuck with me. That was when I lived in Long Beach...I have not "seen" them at my new house.
also I have never seen that film Shadow people...

Good choices for sure.
They don't make big budget movies that are as gory as AVP:Requiem these days it seems.....

yep..lived there till I was 10 than moved out to Riverside County Inland Empire area...I have family that lives in Huntington Beach.We go out there every year for christmas and sometimes visit throughout the year.
