Actually folks, at this stage of the event, we have our choice of debating THREE aspects of the fallout
1.Trashing "Zoe Quinn" for her supposedly slutty ways and tactics
2.The feminist/Marxist contingent that has gotten into the gaming discussion even though none of them like or play games but still want to tell everyone else (including girl gamers) how disgusting they and their hobby is.
3. The newly uncovered revelations of how fully corrupt journalism actually is and how it is secretly making decisions for us rather than just reporting on them.
I spent the better part of an evening reading and watching about all this and it is moving every single day while getting *no coverage on network news outlets beyond the net. Admittedly, there's a *lot to have to go through but this could turn into the debate of our generation... maybe.
I just thought I'd bring the discussion here cuz I know the forum isn't gonna shy away from saying some real shit on it.

The only part of Gamergate I actually paid attention to was the fact that Quinn attacked The Fine Young Capitalists, which was ALL ABOUT getting women to become more involved in the video game making process, and as a result, 4chan, /v/, and reddit basically funded the entire game. To the point where they both created designs in the game. I love 4chan simply for the fact that most of it exists just to fuck with people. /v/ was considered a den of misogyny and they come up with a character like Vivian? Shit's cash.

What are some examples? Have you heard of the Bechdel Test?
The Bechdel Test, sometimes called the Mo Movie Measure or Bechdel Rule is a simple test which names the following three criteria: (1) it has to have at least two women in it, who (2) who talk to each other, about (3) something besides a man.
It's crazy how many films fail this test, and what types of movies do.
Honestly, one of the biggest male/female issues we have in this country (maybe world?) is the issue of porn. I have no problem with porn, I think it's awesome, and I feel if men and women choose to become part of that industry then more power to them.
The issue I have is with the fact that KIDS are watching porn and assuming that's how REAL SEX should be. It teaches men to be more violent sexually towards women and it sets an unrealistic expectation. The worst part about this is that they are being bombarded with this information at a young age, and not only is it BEFORE the receive sex education, sex education doesn't even mention it!
So please, if you have kids, talk to them about the unrealistic aspects of porn and the porn industry, because they are probably watching it already.
