Okay so, I'm assuming I'm not the only one here who has owned a PS2 or a copy of Backyard Wrestling 1 & 2 in the past. I had some hella good times with those games. But what ever happened to Backyard Wrestling 3? Well, I did a little lookin around on the web, and it seems that BYW3 WAS in production, but it was dropped for some reason.
I'm wondering who the hell we would have to pester and annoy to get BYW3 made for PS3 & Xbox 360? Or maybe just for a PSN & Xbox Live Arcade release? I would like to ask J or Shaggy if they've ever thought about BYW3 or possibly a JCW game? ????

Dude have you gone back and played it recently? The reason it got dropped is probably because the first two were garbage. Clunky and unresponsive controls, massive clipping issues, uninspired game modes etc. I owned the game too an had fun with it for about a month and thats because it had icp/twiztid in it and a dope soundtrack.
Just looked it up and the game was made by midway and they went bankrupt. So if anyone does own the rights I couldnt find who. Good luck on your quest

Mortal Kombat was midway so im sure someone has the rights to all that shit now.. my copies of BYW 1 & 2 say eidos, havok, & paradox.. i dont see midway anywhere on 'em
personally id like to see a different juggalo video game.. like a 3rd person open world game where you play as icp do missions & can summon jokers cards & shit.. like a mix between infamous & the pendulum comics..

Eidos is a publisher. Paradox was owned by midway and idk about havok. Youre right though somebody must own it, but I wanna say that each ip is auctioned off seperately. I could be wrong but I do know when THQ went under ubisoft bought the rights to the stick of truth, but I dont think they bought off the wwe games ip.

@thewarlock that is not a bad idea you have there! I'm afraid however of how poorly the finished product would be. Yes, the BYW games had their issues, but I enjoyed the brutality of it. After WWE games began to suck, i turned to BYW.
Ithink if the Create a wrestler feature had more variety (clothes, hair, etc etc) and if the controls were given a tweak here and there, I think BYW3 would be a brutal, fun, hack & bash wrestling game. And think of all the crazy locations that could be used as a wrestling spot!

@TheWarlock BYW I think was just a brand/promotion that all of the underground unknown wrestlers converged for one show, and for the video games. JCW was one of a few participating wrestling companies involved.

This is a great idea, but depending on who made it and how much time they put into it, it could be really amazing or really shitty.
Also, so many people hate ICP and Juggalos now, that it would never happen. Everyone plays videogames, and unless it was a REALLY fucking good game, people wouldn't want to play an ICP game.
That being said, if there were some down ass indie designers they could do it. Even an 8-bit Final Fantasy style ICP game where you could get different weapons/party members/summon different joker's cards would be fucking cool.

I think they should make a GTA style game with you playing as Corporal Robinson before he got canned. Youd have mini games where you picked up Violent J's dry cleaning, Steal money from the warehouse, buy pills, and make fake gathering tickets...Yhe potential is limitless damnit...
