Juggalos in Recovery is planning a full week of Zoom meetings for this week, starting on November 13th!
These meetings are for those in recovery, for those supporting family members through the recovery journey, or for those battling mental illness, all with a splash of Faygo and clown love.
There are four meetings total scheduled for this week, all taking place on Zoom.

Join Frank for a J.I.M. List meeting. The J.I.M. List is short for the Juggalos Improvement Meeting List. The List contains more than 180 meeting topics that focus on healing and personal improvement. To use the J.I.M., you first roll a six-sided die to choose the main category, then a thirty-sided die to pick the main topic. But be careful! A 13 & 17 will make you roll again and add to the topic!

Join Chris for a Song of the Week meeting. Each week, we break down a song into a topic that relates to recovery. This week we are using “What Is A Juggalo” to ask the question “What Is Recovery?” and break down what exactly the fuck recovery is.

I participated in a Zoom meeting with them recently and they clarified that they are not a 12 Step Program. To me they seem like a solution-based hand up (not handout) for anyone in need of a human connection. Good stuff.

They sell merch with a Hatchetman holding a “12 Step” book and they LITERALLY rewrote the 12 Steps. This release says next meeting they are working on “Step 7.” Oh please if they are not a 12 step group then why the fuck are they working the steps? Most cults are based on a “human connection,” that’s how they get you. Better to deal with reality and exercise critical thinking than to capitulate to abnormal social conventions.

The vibe I got from the meeting wasn’t culty at all, but that if u 12 Step, great. If not, great. All seem welcome to explore the real, emphasize the positive, etc. Or not. Your game, your rules.

I post what I deem the best I have at the time (usually peer-reviewed information, beautiful music, etc.) so if u can’t recognize that art or life-saving science is a real opinion then please carry on talking out ur ass. :)
