Last week, The Underground Avengers newest album titled Anomally 88 was put up for pre-order over at MNEStore.com. Check out our original post HERE. I was pretty fuckin’ happy to see that Bukshot, Claas and Boondox were getting the love they deserved and getting a release put out with that Majik Ninja logo on it.
One of the tracks on the release is titled Thanos and features the likes of Tech N9ne, Twiztid, Rittz, Jelly Roll, Krizz Kaliko, Crucifix, King ISO & Lyte. Yes, I said Lyte.
Well, it was cool while it lasted, but it now looks like Lyte’s feature has been pulled from the release. Here is what Bukshot had to say about all this:

Yeah makes zero sense to keep your product in the public eye… Makes no sense to put out new videos and promote them, send your artists on tour, feature them in videos, send them to various events, have them open for other acts and leech off the promotion…. I agree. Their strategy is ridiculous. “Sign everyone before anyone else has a chance”. But look at G-Mo. MNE push him hard. I’m not defending them. I don’t agree with their methods either. Just weird how Lyte was fucking everywhere. Every video, every feature… Then nothing. Also, MNE Never pushed ROC or Gorilla Voltage. They’re so inconsistent. I’m not running a successful record label though so I’m not trying to inject pearls of wisdom here. Just feels weird how they can’t push more than one artist at a time.

They were not the reason Psy became successful, ICP was gold/platinum before they started rolling with Twiztid, if Twiztid had of never been signed Psy STILL would of become the underground powerhouse it is. I said a MAJOR PART of Psy’s success… ICP weren’t already multi-platinum artists when they signed Twiztid (Milenko went platinum in 99, while Riddle Box went Gold the same year…. I’m not saying that Twiztid had any impact on ICP’s record sales, I’m talking about Psy’s success as a label…. you’re the one talking RIAA certifications being a factor on why Twiztid wasnt vital…. and while I can see the point you’re aiming at, the cold hard truth is that they wouldn’t have signed another act and had the same success…. there hasn’t been another act signed to Psy (other than ICP) that’s even come close to the success Twiztid achieved (i.e. record sales)…. they were vital to Lotus, they brought the most memorable parts to Big Money Hustlas (and some of those parts were completely adlib on their part)…. nobody else would’ve brought to the table what they brought, because if there were anybody else that could’ve, theyd’ve been signed regardless….would Psy have reached another level of success? Most likely…. but not nearly as grand as what twiztid contributed….
