What's up, everyone? On March 4th I sat down with King Gordy for a full length interview. Thought I'd share it here for those interested. I posted a link to the youtube video since I can't seem to embed the video using my phone. Thanks and hope you enjoy.

unfortunately, Gordy is much more of a shock value rapper, than a lyrical wicked emcee like he seems to still think he is.. the music doesn't reflect the latter at all anymore.. thanks to this interview i understand him more now tho, since he referenced Bizarre as an influence.. but i know im one of many fans who are disappointed that hes leaned on the "shock" side so heavily, thus far during this decade..

Damn great interview!  On the Tech N9ne segment.  I woulda brought up when Tech was wearing a King Gordy t-shirt on that Absolute Power DVD, back when NOBODY knew who King Gordy was....well not nobody, but you get it.

Good Job my man.

Ganksta N-I-P - Need to listen to this dude more.  Anyone have suggestions?

Violent J - Its funny on how he says "Violent J"....like he HAS to say his name or something!  haha

Oh, and you can still have shock value to your lyrics without all the constant gay tranny shit....right?  Why does he always resort to that????

word.. i get it, that he's really into that spitting all that corny shit but how is he not aware of the huge percentage of horrorcore fans who arent entertained by it.. you cant be the king of a subgenre, or anywhere near the best lyrically, when youre so one dimensional in it..

Gordy is not one dimensional at all. Such a lazy and easy thing to say like all the cats that call twiztid emo. Just regurgitating the same shit that the last dummy said.

I think Warlock is sayin that he's one dimensional now. That's what his first reply was sayin anyway.

Those last two albums were one dimensional as fuck, man. Just shock value rap, which he openly admits in the interview, with zero substance. "Rape baby Jesus in the ass with Mohammed's dick" sums up every song he's released since Xerxes.

That was the best interview I've seen with Gordy. He wasn't tryin to say random shit like he usually does in em. He was actually giving his honest thoughts about things. It was great up until he spit at the end. I can only assume that was something from Anakin, which is really a bummer. He said a year or so ago that he was going back to horror movie music on this one. That was not horror movie music. Sucks. Gordy is one of the absolute best when he's actually trying (Go And Get A Knife, Worship Me/Murder Me, Mr. Evil, Howl At The Moon, Lucifer's Apology...fuck, dude has a LOT of solid horror music so I'll just stop) but he seems to have stopped trying.

ive never heard someone else refer to him as one dimensional but i have heard all of his albums.. if you like that weirdo shit good for you but lets not pretend that doesn't make up the vast majority of his content now..

Only listen to Ganksta Nip's first three albums through Rap A Lot(south park psycho,  psychotic genius, interview with a killa) bc after he lost their production his music quality suffered.

Dude, I actually considered not keeping that freestyle in the video simply because I'm not a fan of that style of horrorcore...I mean I did ask him for bars on a whim so I can't say I was surprised by what I heard...plus it was a freestyle from Anakin so it's not like the bars were exclusive to me or my interview...I do agree that Gordy for some reason relies heavily on the over the top gay/tranny shock value shit even though he has proven he has the skill to create better music without it....ah, what can ya do?

Ya know, for as much weed as Gordy smokes you'd think he would go into deep thought and think "why the fuck do I rap so much about that subject??"  "Am I secretly gay?"  Seriously.  I just know when I used to get super high (I'm talking really high), I'd go DEEP into thought about my life, Am I on the right track, what co-workers and friends think of me....all sorts of shit, all sorts of self analyzing shit.  I dunno, I couldn't rap like that, then get really really high.....then re-listen to it without being extremely embarrassed.

But this is just me and how my mind reacts on good weed...
