its not really begging for handouts. im just not paying full price for a mediocre album. if i listen and it is not terrible i will go and purchase a copy for myself. but if its mediocre i will keep my pirated copy and not care.

I like all his albums really..even all 6's and 7's and Something Else had a lot of dope tracks imo.

that happened some years ago did it not? like around all 6s and 7s? I do respect a man who is willing to jump on any chance to profit from something.

That said, most of his albums ARE good, i just feel that sincen all 6s and 7s theres been something there that grates against my nerves. im not entirely sure what it is, but i feel like that pedestal he props himeself on as being one of the most talented in the game (while i dont disagree, i dont think he should harp on it like a child) keeps getting talller... and taller and taller and he just keeps moving away.

maybe its me being horribly cynical ( because everything is shitty) but half of techs albums lately sound like diarrhea of the mouth.  i hope special effects is dope as fuck, but i feel very disconnected to tech n9ne lately.  

Techs best work is behind him. There's nothing he can say or do that will blow my mind like Anghellic,Absolute Power or Everready, ( his last best front to back FULL albums. 

His albums now have a hand full of great tracks. I can take his last 4 albums and consolidate them into a good one. Too many guest appearances

my fav album is still definitely KOD, i love the dark stuff. i always siing at the top of my voice to blacken the sun everytime it comes on my ipod hahah. but i truly hate the metal shit he has been riding, it just doesnt fit for me. cool do an occasionly track but it seems he wants to get heavy in to the metal scene from time to time.

i def agree with scruffy, never say never. i hope and pray for a amazing album. always.

its the sad truth for damn near every artist.

korn - first 3 albums were amazing, 4th ok. and the past 15 years have been meh

ICP - first handful of albums had a few crappy songs, and other than that were gold. since the end of the 1st set of 6 its been hit or miss

tech - same thing those 3 CDs you listed were his best work

I'm a huge Tech fan, and love almost everything he's put out. I actually like mainstream rap too, because I don't see barriers, music is music. Not fond of Lil' Wayne though, but hey it still wasn't a bad song.

I think people like to over simplify things they don't like, though. If you look at music as a whole it's all pretty much the same rehashed shit.

I understand where he comes from with his fans though. People take stupid shit too personally, he doesn't owe you shit. You pay for the music, you get the music. He doesn't owe you an ass kissing or he shouldn't have to become something he's not just for the fans to stick around. It's his music, his life, and he's good at what he does. Of course he gets upset when fans trash him over petty things like him doing a song with an artist he likes that they don't like.

It's like, both you guys, Novo and Lucky, are both very prideful people. There is nothing wrong with that. But when he's prideful, you guys rip into him and act like he's an egomaniac. Both of you know he's one of the greatest, so why do you get upset when he know's it and he's not afraid to come out and say it? The only reason I'd get upset when somebody acts that prideful is when the either A. aren't nearly as good as they say they are or B. it intimidates me (which I rarely actually get upset over).

And I know both of you are really defensive, when you guys believe something you defend it to the end.

So if either of you two were put in his shoes I bet you'd both respond in the same exact way. I definitely would.

Either way, I preordered because I'm 99% sure that I'm going to love the album, I haven't been able to stop bumping both of the preorder tracks. I just hope he chooses a good spot to autograph that doesn't ruin the album art.
