So after hearing lotus, and finding out MEC had nothing to do with this album I was really suprised. Hopefully J finally sees that MEC needs to go or step his game up. One of the two needs to happen.

I understand the fact everybody says music needs to change and what not but this dude has been back for a while now. In my honest opinion there was no reason to replace Mike P, he did excellent on both sixth joker cards. I was really impressed.

What do you hate the most about this whole era with MEC? Those guitars need to be louder and more in your face way too soft.

what's your opinions on this?

I like Mike .I think collaboratively they need to change it up.Like how they did Lotus, different producers, dark and wicked, mixed with old and new sounds.

FLH: Have you thought far enough in the future if you’re gonna have any producers other than Mike E. Clark?  Or is it gonna be a strictly Mike E. Clark album?

Violent J: You know, we’re talking to Mike about that right now.  We’re trying to figure out what the best play is, you know?  We’re talking to Mike, because Mike’s been real busy too, you know what I’m sayin’?  Crazy busy.   We’re talking to Mike, and we’re gonna see what Mike wants to do, you know what I mean?  Does he want to sit down with us and hammer this whole thing out?  Or does he just want to contribute a couple?  We’re gonna see what he wants to do, and there’s a lot of other dope ass producers out there too.  This might be an exclusive Mike E. Clark record, or this might be a little bit of everybody.  We’re not gonna close off any options.  But of course, of course we’re gonna talk to Mike and see what he wants to do first and foremost.

Shaggy 2 Dope: Yeah, Mike’s always the first one up to bat, you know what I’m sayin’?

FLH: No doubt!

Shaggy 2 Dope: He always will be.

Violent J: There might come a time in Mike’s life where he can’t sit down with us for however long it’s gonna take right now and do that record, you  know what I mean?  We’ve just gotta sit down and talk to Mike and see where he’s at, and see if he’s ready to rock and roll, or what’s up man.

My opinion is the same as it has always been MEC is the only producer that should work on Joker card albums. Plus remember MEC and Legz are basically members of ICP.

MEC and ICP is magic. IMO, everything they did in the 90s and present is golden. There is some hit and miss ones within the last couple years, but EVERYTHING from the 90s is a greatest hits. It is really rare that you can listen to a cd, from any band or group, and say that you like every song. I can put just about every song on my IPOD on shuffle, and be happy.

I agree, MEC should have did the 6th.  its only right that he would've, but I cant complain how they turned out, cuz I like them both, but MEC would have done better.

I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!

I got love for them both. But I love Mike P's production on Shangri-La. Remember that Hell's Pit had others producing beats on there as well. Esham even.

Isnt icp still being sued for 2million dollars for stealing beats for hells pitt and mirror mirror? So would that be the producers fault for bringing the beat to them?

Fritz stole a lot of uncleared samples - actually some that I used before him.

example is afraid of me - I made the same damn beat before he did.. some on phatso too that maybe nobody else realized

i hate it when everybody assumes that everyone hates mec in this 'era'.

also, i hate pandering rock guitar crap.  mike clark is one of the very few who can do that rockish shit well.

hells pit as well.

although, trying to assign culpability for that without having been actually present at the sessions is impossible.  unless somebodys been specifically pinned for it, we are speculating.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?
