Like what color are ultraviolet rays? You dig?
want real magic? check the way the electromagnetic spectrum is unfolding and refolding all around us. fascinating shit, and practical to boot.
one might say that i feel that magic is in the imagination, but that only means that magic is the imagination. fairly reasonable.
all relative.
awfully paranoid, arent you?

A kid started a trial run to working at our dispensary with us a couple days ago. Nice enough guy, bad smelling though. We got on a discussion about Newports, which he mentioned Twiztid. I grinned.
"Hell yeah, im a Juggalo," I said. I showed him my 14 year old Lotus cross on my upper back. He responded with a even larger Lotus cross, which actually had the words Dark Lotus within, inthe same spot on his back. Also, a Tech N9ne "9" on the neck.
So after discussion woth a coworker, we will probably not.keep him, but I will give him a Juggalo discount whenever he comes in, regardless.
The magic of the Lotus.

if you're using terms like "micro-evolution" and "macro-evolution", I question your sources because those are the same damned thing but on a different scale.

Tales from the Lotus Pod was fucking incredible. Marz version of course. Like Psyral said, they might have pretended to use black magic on it. The Placebo Effect is a real thing. Combine those two and you have the makings of a very dark album. Not in a cursed way but if I think I've summoned a demon to put in my music or whatever the fuck, there's a high chance I'm going to write some very crazy shit and go to a darker place than I normally would (Fuck holes in my yard and grow children from soil). Same deal. They MIGHT have all thought they were using a mystic power, which in turn, made them write better. The cover to Black Rain was great. Very uncomfortable feel to it but that's about the best thing I can say for that album. The Opaque Brotherhood was solid though. It wasn't quite as good as Tales but it had the same listen with the lights off feel to me, minus a few tracks.
But absolutely on point with everything else you said. Wont lie though... I just couldn't get into Opaque Brotherhood, maybe I'll try to give it another go though. That albums seems to have the most mixed reviews out of all the albums they've released.

dammit....fine. If you're going to bring Judge Judy into it, I'll entertain you.
Micro-evolution is gradual changes within a species. Thus we have subspecies. An example would be a husky and a bulldog. Same species (Canis familiaris if it matters), different subspecies.
Macro-evolution is a term that simply sums up the aforementioned gradual changes within a species. Using the dog example, the wolf, (where 99% of modern dogs come from....sorry, theoretically come from) also know as Canis Lupus, was undergoing micro-evolution, right? I think we're on the same page there. As those separate subspecies migrated, they adapted to new environments and thus started to create their own subspecies. Now we have wolves creating subspecies, who are in turn creating more subspecies. At some point, for classification purposes alone, we have to put a pinpoint on when a particular subspecies is so far removed from its ancestor, that is ceases to be the same species. That is macro-evolution. The actual differences between a particular breed of Canis Lupus (wolf) and the first Canis Familiaris (dog) is incredibly small. A micro-evolution level small. The only thing that makes it an example of macro-evolution is our recognition that Canis Familiaris should be classified as its own species instead of continuing to be a subspecies of the wolf. So in other, less winded words, Micro-evolution and Macro-evolution are the same thing, just on a different scale.
When I first heard Opaque Brotherhood it threw me off because it sounded really polished or something, whereas the first album sounded like it was absolutely recorded in a dungeon or some shit. So I understand the not being able to get into it. If you can get past that clean sound though, everything else about it is the same feel as old Lotus.

I get where your coming from, but Id still argue your explanation of macro. but I dont feel like getting into it over the message board, PM and we could go at it... not that theres a fuckin point to it, lol.

@yakkattack , It may depend on what you listen to in the music. I barely hear the music or beats. My brain really only focuses on the lyrics. That being said, I am a huge fan of Dark Lotus. All of it. I admit that there are some songs that I skip on occasion when my mood is just not into it, but for the most part I play them all. My top 3 "stand out tracks" are Backwards, Follow the Leader, and Opaque Brotherhood. Backwards being my favorite.

Im actually huge on lyrics, no matter how good the beat is... if the lyrics are wack I wont listen to it. but DAMN! Okay, ill give u props. Backwards is solid! On Wednesday I have a new pair of headphones coming in... that i paid a little to damn much for, lol. but Ill wait to listen until then so I can get the full experience of the album.

Bro, if you don't get why Opaque Brotherhood is one of the best Lotus albums, you're not listening!
Thats the thing, Ive never actually sat down and listened to that album... like "actually listened". Keep in mind im still back tracking all Psy Records releases since 05 when I stopped listening. Btw, lately Ive been playing boondox - "abandoned" and I never thought Id say this... but DAMN that is a solid album! *obviously my opinion* and I say I never thought Id say that is because since I got back into PSY he was a new artists to me and I just wasnt feelin his whole "gimmick"... The whole country boy scare crow rapper, it just felt really corny to me. but wow, I tried to stay unbiased listening to that album and it is fuckin great!

I'm going to PM you about it. Curious to know what you think Macro Evolution actually is.
Someone else already said "Backwords" so I won't suggest that one but damn, what a great fuckin song. In Bloom, it has that aggressively wicked feel that Lotus is (was?) so damned good at, Can you keep a secret has the spooky, basement sound that the rest of the album kind of lacks, and Heinous, which is Dark Lotus flexin on the mic the only way I can imagine them doing it and it working.

OG TFTLP>MWA&B>Opaque>Black Rain>ABK TFTLP
I don't hate ABK but when he is so outshined by every other dude in the group it urks the piss out of me. You can look forward to all the boys verses save for his. His inclusion on any of the albums doesn't exist to me. In fact I used to cut out his verses to make my own personal ABKless editions, haha.
Opaque and the new joint are near a tie also. You cannot FUCK with 'Black Sand'!

I believe in evolution, but I also believe in things human brains can't perceive which if harnessed would be magical. I doubt that makes sense to anyone and I'm sure you'll all think I'm preaching shit, but I'm more thinking about the existence of dark matter and the possibility of other beings existing in the same time and space as us, except on a different plane of existence. Like try to imagine a color you've never seen. Like what color are ultraviolet rays? You dig?
god I hate auto correct
Color you haven't seen... Kinda like explaining sight to someone born blind.
Or an acid trip to someone who hasn't done acid (I'm always asking my friends, they can't ever fully describe it).
But anyway, yeah, I see what your saying.
I still haven't fully heard Black Rain or Opaque Brotherhood. But, I still like Tales From The Lotus Pod a lot (both versions, except for Bitch I'm Sexy, I like the OG version, should've had ABK do a verse instead of yelling at Marz), and I have MWAB.
And, why the fuck can't I ever find Tales, I'd really fuckin' like to have it!
