Tombtha940 started a thread titled, Killjoy Club 5 members?

So from the artwork you can see the group is made of ICP (shaggy and J) and Da Madia 6ix (Dj Paul, Crunchy Black & Koopsta Knicca) But Otis of AMB is all over the cd as the unofficial 6th member. It seems strange that he would be on all most every track and have produced most of it and still not get on the cover too.

Che replied

i know gangsta boo left da mafia six and lord passed away leaving the members you mentioned. i believe young wicked or otis whatever he wants to go by, is not a member for many reasons. One being Da Maifa Six and ICP and Young Wicked, doesnt flow as well. 2 being i think he was just used a filler and for production, also to help him get more backing for his upcoming solo release. I liked the album, I do doubt Killjoy will be an on going group though. I think this album will be the only project we will ever see from them.

Madsane replied to Che and said

Definitely agree, all but the part about his flow. It's an ok flow. Maybe with some guidance , it can be better.

piggofdoom replied to Che and said

You're wrong, Young Wicked is actually the new 3rd member of ICP.

LuckyNumbrXIII said

Honestly, they could have said something like, "Da Mafia Six and the Hatchet Family" or "…Psychopathic Family." Because, yes, Young Wicked's on it, Boondox is on it, Sugar Slam's on it, Hoodoo's on it, and it was produced by several hatchet-affiliated producers. But really what does it matter?

All of these threads lately are such flame bait it's not even funny. A more strict message board would have nuked most of these topics as such.

Pretty good album.  Double Clutch, Don't Fuck Wit Me, Jump and Panic Mode are my favorites.

ok so I listened to this album track by track in a span of a couple days. and I have my concerns.

1. the album is good

2. I can deal without Crunchy Black and Koopsta

3. I like sugar slam. I think she is pretty, and seems like a cool person. with that being said, I wish she wasent on this project. Her back up singing wasent bad, but when she tries to yell and act hard, it just doesent work. she sounds like the whitest girl you ever heard.

4. Is Young Wicked in KJC? if he is all over this (which he did a good job) why isn't he named and official member. Hoodoo and boondox did guest spots, and they were labled as such, but not Young Wicked, and hes on 95 % of the album. I would feel pretty shitty if I was him.

5. ICP did good on this album. Shaggy seems to school these beats. on most VJ verses, he uses the soft high pitch voice. I think he would have been better with more of an angry tone, with tougher lyrics. Maybe in an oldschool Bullet kinda way.

6. DJ paul kills it. I miss Juicy J.

oh yea, and......

I'm gonna eat my crow on this one. It's a pretty solid album, but nothing mind blowing. It MUST be bumped in a car to be effective for me. Also, I didn't think I would ever say this, but Young Wicked fucking owns this album. Nice effort from everyone involved except for Crunchy Black. I never was a fan of his though so no surprise there.

Technically, he is not a member.

He is labeled on the credits in the booklet.

My guess on why they did not promote him as a member or a featured artist on the tracklisting that was released is simple... it's easier to just say ICP, and DM6. Plus it allows them to have him show what he can do (rapping, etc.) without the pressure of his name being attached.

Let's be real, AMB receives a lot of hate, whether they deserve it or not. If they attached Young Wicked's name to this album some people probably would not check it out because of the fact they dislike AMB. Similar to Juggalos who do not like DM6 or DM6 fans who do not like ICP and Juggalos that will be unwilling to give it a listen.

Think about it though...the first song that was released by KJC was "Panic Mode" which featured him..They could have released one of the few tracks that did not feature him.

This album also shows what he can do, so more people may be open to giving his solo shit a listen. Instead of instantly saying fuck it, I'm not listening because of people's dislike for AMB.

Now think about all the people that were not looking forward to him being on KJC after VJ said at the GOTJ he was all over it and now after they heard it are willing to give him a chance.

Also i think Young Wicked replaced Scarface, because according to DJ Paul, the original plan that was pitched to him for KJC was ICP, DM6, and Scarface.

im willing to bet that IF ICP and Esham were still cool, that he would have been on this instead of Young Wicked.

Would it of sounded better or worse?

Old School Esham probably better, newer esham probably worse, but i've never been much of an esham fan.

i dont think E wouldve continued to advance his lyricism had he stuck with psy.. kinda seemed like he always dumbed it down.. i definitely wouldnt replace YW for esham tho.. nor do i think he wouldve wanted to.. he's spoken out several times against generic southern shit in the past "to all them rappers that use the same beat in the south, im like fuck you"

but it would expand Eshames audience which he would need right about now. IF he was still good. which he is clearly not

Worse. Unbelieveably, inconceivably, undoubtedly, infinitely, ineffably worse to the highest caliber.

The one thing I was disappointed about was the fact that this had a DM6 sound throughout the whole album, wish it had more variance, but it still is a great album, everyone kinda meshes well, kind of like how it was with Bizarre in D12, a little weirdness at times with a hard sound still.
