like who? Drake?
Exactly... Wait... No, not Drake.
I'm sure there's a grip of newer artists making their name in the underground/horrorcore scene. Why not any of them? Or reach out to past GOTJ performers on the rise.
I get ICP isn't exactly new and fresh, but havin acts like Geto Boys, Onyx, Ice T, Coolio, etc gets old.

This +100.
'Lokal wickedy wikked ninjah boyz' pretty much sums it up. I prefer to see established artists rather than local acts. IMO, there's not really an up and coming underground rap scene anymore. Underground used to mean more than local scrub artists. It was guys like KMK, Swollen Members, Tech9, etc. The industry has changed, music is dead. The average person doesn't like music any more, they like celebrities.

I never said local. Get an act like Liquid Assassin, Jedi Mind Tricks, Body Bag Syndicate, Aqualeo, Jarren Benton, etc, etc...

fine, but i aint terribly interested in them. aqualeo, a lil bitty bit.
given a choice between all five of those acts in one night, or ice-t performin one b-side and dippin out, im leavin a very short concert with a big grin.
besides, except for maybe body bag syndicate, im sure you could find someone here that will argue that all of them are has-beens, as well. and from what i seen, body bag syndicate is a local thing, like a mufucka. 303, what, all love. 784, not so much.

Scarface's Deeply Rooted was my favorite lp of 2015 it was a big album. GB are hardly has beens. I'd rather see ICP tour with legends(or has beens the less nice way to coin them) over new rappers. Besides promoters pay more with it being all known names they won't pay more per show on underground acts so all those acts you named would probably have to PAY ICP TO BE ON THE TOUR and I can guarantee Vinnie Paz or Jarren Benton won't wanna do that.
I'm with Scruffy on this besides ICP is an early 90's era act it makes sense for them to tour with other 80'\90's acts let Twizzler put the new acts on their tours...not on the other thing though Scruffy I wanna see at least Milenko or AJB getting a full album front to back tour treatment sorry not sorry.

There's a handful of decent young cats they could reach out to but when they do reach out to them the tours aren't as strong and people bitch and moan about the opening act not being someone else. Like when nova opened for j last year.
This tour sounds fun. Truth is it doesn't really matter who icp play with and we all know it. They ain't bringing in new fans.
It's also probably hard to get interesting opening acts who are afraid of being labeled a juggalo group.
If you really believed that all lives matter we wouldn't need to say black lives matter

Yep, they are far from has-beens. In truth, for every moment that your endorphins and dopamine ramped up in any way from listening to music made by ICP and many other groups, you have Geto Boys to thank for that.
Anyway, what ever happened to that deal with Willie D and the prison sentence for the cell phone scam?

What Geto Boys line up is it going to be?
The Original, Big Mike..ect..
Scarface a while ago said he would never do anything else with the Geto Boys so will he even be on the tour?
Ice T has like 5 memorable songs.
"OG Gangsta" "New Jack Hustler" "The Tower" "6 N' that mornin'" "Colors"
And out of those, 2 would be presented well played live.
I'm with the new up and coming warm up acts. I like being put on to new artist that I mite have never knew about rather than some dusty, washed up,reality show,"Cop Killer" who plays a cop, Yoga praising 70 year old.
Fuuuuuuuck Ice-T.
The living embodiment of a sell-out

Musically not performance wise its been the classic Face, Willie, and Bushwick lineup since that brief era in the 90's during that album with Big Mike.
Respectively disagree I'm just not interested in the new upcoming acts especially horrorcore acts. I'll take the legends and vets over that than wannabe Necros or Tech N9nes (like both those artists BTW not hating) rapping overtly grotesque or doing the fast chopper style sloppily

Twiztid was an opener at one time.
I understand completely what you are saying though. For every 9 unknown acts out of 10, you get mediocrity but, you have that one artist that will make you pay attention on some originality tip.
Big props to the G.B.'s for doing the gathering and specifically Scarface for painting up.
Instead of a veteran, why not get lesser known established artist like Jellyroll or someone of that caliber then?
