It is fucking freaky it's that old the album itself is now older than I was when I first listened to it : (Lets see how we differ, Everyone join in :D (man this is soooooo fucking hard):
BEST TRACK - I Want My Shit/ I Stab People
WORST TRACK - Nothing's Left (that was easy one of their worst, mind you I never really any ending tracks on the albums so Im probably biased)
Shut your damn mouth lol. Sorry, didn't mean to get defensive...
Nothing's left is my favorite icp song.
Best: nothing's left
Worst: bitches

Whole album is dope.Nothing's left is the 2nd best outro song next to "Pass Me By" from Milenko.
I agree with this

ill admit i had some problems with jeckel brothers, when it was new. all rockdafied n shit.
and singing...?!
now, though, the whole style of it seems to fit right in with the overall evolution of icps sound.
best track: either play with me, or mad professor. probably cuz theyre the only songs that harkened back to the previously established icp sound. still my faves today.
worst track: eh... might be nothings left, actually. song isnt exactly a jam; has little replay value when youre not depressed.
side note:
seventeen fuckin years later, and i still have to stop myself from spellin it 'jekyll'...

what can i say? no accounting for taste.
the good news is, i got that 'icp dont sound like they used to' crap outta my system looong before it became a trendy bitch.
another side note:
it amuses me, all these ninjas talkin bout listenin to ajb in school.
in my mind, 'icp' and 'school' have absolutely nothin at all to do with each other, whatsoever.

I listened to Milenko in grade 5!
1997.
AJB I didn't discover until 2000. In highschool.
I have a feeling I wouldn't have gotten into the music if I would have discovered it as an adult.

AJB came out when I dropped out of high school. I bumped milenko and riddlebox in high school though.

I'm with Scruffy. I remember all that excitement I had for AJB turning to disappointment after ripping it open and listening. I remember thinking it was like they tried to capitalize on the Milenko controversy by tightening up their sound for this slightly poppy attempt at a more mass appealing record. I remember feeling like that dark carnival essence that loomed in the sound of previous ICP songs was hardly even there. This was also the first ICP release where I started skipping songs. Up until that point I rarely ever skipped songs on anything from Carnival of Carnage to Milenko but I skipped a lot of this record after the initial listen through.
Being older now I definitely consider this a great record. It just wasn't what I wanted to hear in 99.

I got into icp in 97-98 so this was my first jokers card release. My brother and I got lucky about a month and half before it was released and found a sealed promo of the album that was accidentally placed in the icp section. We asked how much and they said it was an accident and gave it to us for free anyway. While telling us "do not tell anybody we will get I trouble". I was initially disappointed with the album as a whole but soon fell in love with it. May 25th icp did the instore in St. Louis and it was my first psychopathic event I think I was 13. Great memories.
on a side note I really wish island would have allowed them to keep it a double disc like it was initially planned. Dead end with ice t, $50 bucks, amazing maze, redneck hoe 99 and dirt ball all should have been included on the album.

Oh yeah, I definitely remember people on the message boards being disappointed by AJB when it came out, though there were plenty others like me that were totally digging it.
Best: Mad Professor, Terrible
Worst: The Shaggy Show
But really, I still enjoy the whole thing front to back. While the Shaggy Show was a bit of a miss and could have been better given the premise and the Snoop Dogg appearance, I can still dig it and wouldn't skip it. I've always always loved the beat for the Jake/Jack Jeckel songs. I listed 2 songs as my "best" but many more could go there.

I side with him when he is right. Dude isn't a bad guy. He voices his opinion and hates scruffy but that's none of my business. I have seen him say some genuine shit before.

It's interesting seeing these first opinions and such when Amazing Jeckal Brothers came out. Makes me wonder how people will reflect on the newer joker cards after time passes.
AJB wasn't the first ICP record I heard but indeed the second album after I heard Riddlebox on Cassette back then. Loved it then and it still holds up as one of my favorites. I agree ICP did waste the guest features on AJB. But they kinda always do that. I wasn't satisfied with how they handle the MDP guest features either.

Wasn't the song "Dead End" w/ Ice T recorded during the AJB sessions but they went with the "Bitches" instead? That song was pretty cool. I think I remember there being a poll that lead to determining which collabs would be included on the album, unbeknownst to us at the time. Even if it weren't for that, I can see how maybe "Dead End" didn't really fit the AJB album but was definitely one of those PFOS gems.

PFOS? a quick google search says it's this:
Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (conjugate base perfluorooctanesulfonate) (PFOS) is a anthropogenicfluorosurfactant and global pollutant. PFOS was the key ingredient in Scotchgard, a fabric protector made by 3M, and numerous stain repellents. It was added to Annex B of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in May 2009.[4] PFOS can be synthesized in industrial production or result from the degradation of precursors. PFOS levels that have been detected in wildlife are considered high enough to affect health parameters, and recently higher serum levels of PFOS were found to be associated with increased risk of chronic kidney disease in the general US population.[5] "This association was independent of confounders such as age, sex, race/ethnicity, body mass index, diabetes, hypertension, and serum cholesterol level."[5]
soooo enlighten me to what that means, haha thanks man
