I think they're doing stuff like this and the Canada Juggalo day to make some extra thousands to be able to fund GOTJ and Juggalo March

So...I might be going to Wisconsin next year? That's weird.
edit: It will be weird to see ICP along with those bands BUT I think that it's good that they're getting the recognition they deserve by being invited to those types of events. Even though really I hope it never becomes the norm to only see ICP in huge events and not like tiny venues. (I'm really not even nervous about that ever actually happening though).

Do you live near the festival?
Anyone planning on going? I lied about the change of plans, I still might go. But probably not, unless other ninjas are.
But at least we know of one weekend when the gathering is NOT going to be. That helps make planning easier. Barely. I wish they would at least confirm the month that the gathering was going to be- It's hard to make summer plans until they release that info, and obviously anything else comes second to the gathering.

All of those bands except ICP and Slayer (who have always just kind of did their own thing) are doing a "return to form" thing as of late. Like they're trying to get back to their roots and such. IE late 90's/early 2000's. ICP were definitely in that circle of acts at the time so it makes sense that they'd be there. Basically that whole festival will be serving some 'member berries.
It IS cool to see ICP get the recognition though. They were a significant part of that scene.

Agreed, I think this is awesome and hope they flirt with the idea of performing at Knotfest this year.
Would be dope if they tapped MEC and Legz to add live guitars to the set.

From what I understand they haven't been able to get in contact with Mike and Legz. That's why they had been settling with Young Wicked.

Yuck. I assumed this with Mike but didn't know that was the case with Legz.
I'd love to see them at a festival. I would expect a high showing of Milenko/Jeckel Bros era fans.

at the 2015 gotj, someone asked during the seminar where legz was and they were like "uh, that's a good question." There was some banter about how they tried to call him and get him to the gotj but that he was more or less "doing something else" which could mean any number of things. Hopefully he's not like working at starbucks.
