I wouldn't call it a question of maturity. Especially when we're talking about a group whose every other lyric is 'muh balls' and 'muh anus' no matter what flavor it comes in. Some people, myself among them, got in it for the wicked shit. There was a time when Psychopathic were the undisputed kings of that shit. Some people's idea of maturing, from a horror-centric scope, is evolving past cartoon violence into something more gritty and realistic. But all in all I agree with Slumerican most of all, there are some excellent points being raised in this thread.
"spiritual maturity" is what i meant.. which is the concept of TMML..

Psy need to run the label like a business and not a buddy system. I do not care if Shaggs and
Clay are true to life friends. His projects did not sell well, even for Psy standards, so WHY would
he be the sole producer for something as important as this project?
I agree with this. I'd expect more diversity and care taken with the selection of producers for Shaggs. Clay can bring decent tracks but he isn't on the level of Mike E, Seven or any number of for sale producers.
Honestly, I can't stand the twerp. He looks and acts like a soft little bitch. He forces us to sit through his piece of shit solo tracks on the mixtapes. Have you tried to sit through one? It's unbearable. The least he could do is shut the fuck up and just make the beats.
I think I dislike Clay more than anyone on either label. Especially now that he is putting this album in jeopardy.
Also, the dudes in that picture with Shaggy look like a bunch of cunts. C'mon man, wheres the grown man shit at? Who produced the last Lotus? Gah!!

They probably had clay do it becsusr they already had the release date locked in and they didn't wanna use YW's beats (which regardless of how much I had Young Wicked's solo shit would have undoubtedly been much better) after the shit went down so they had Clay do it quick because he WOULD. It was a price and convenience issue. Of course I could be completely wrong, but it makes sense.

From the last interview scottie D did when the wicked beef went down they are in touch with MEC about something, i'm really hoping its for the next card. I like seven but i think im over the whole 808 thing. He's following trends and adding his little twist to it, which is cool. But I prefer MEC to get back to the MEC we all know. It's hard to believe that he made the first 6.. beats are sooooo much better than the new set of cards

Back when the first 6 were being dropped, the atmosphere in rap and specifically production were on an
entire different level. It was basically a free for all for samples. A lot of producers did not survive past that
time period because that's all they knew when they made beats. The others changed with the times and
learned to actually "Compose" entire songs from scratch, some with live instruments, others in a digital format.
Lets not forget, EVERYONE, due to the popularity of the newly formed grunge genre' was dabbling in someway
with dark or even horror core kind of stuff around that time. Dre,Cube,WU,Cypress Hill, the who's who of that time period
were all riding THAT wave.
