Okay, so anyone saying Hatchet Gear is still fucking up, we'll I received my hard copy today promptly on time. I haven't listened yet. I probably won't until Sunday night.
- I also noticed ABK wasn't mentioned. Didn't want to notice that, as it prbably isn't shit as all of PSY was thanked, but it entered my wack mind anyway. It would've been nice to hear Killa on a track or two, but perhaps Shaggy is keeping guests to a minimum like usual.
- As far as reusing bass line from FTFO, if I'm not mistaken, he did the same thing on FTFO by using the bassline from the original Fuck Off! It's a recurring theme, I swear... I will have to relisten, I own both of those discs...
- Was disappointed that the CD insert didn't have more stuff. For us old ass CD folks, we love to get something extra cool to peep, even for a moment.
- Expectations: I don't expect it to rival FTFO, one of my favorite PSY Albums ever. Ever. But Shaggy always comes correct. Hopefully the DJ Clay replacement beats don't have a sort of "Tale From the Lotus Pod: Revisted" distracting effect from the original beats.
- Can't wait!

Album is fire though!!! The Party is one of my favorite of ICP's and this album feels like a continuation of that vibe for the most part...I'm going to write up a full, detailed review this weekend but I'm diggin it a lot

The thing about Insane Clown Posse is, we all kind of feel that J is the better lyricist in ways, and we long to hear his take on things. But without Shaggs to balance him out, it's overkill.
Shaggy has always been that breath of fresh air. Gotta keep Big Homie in line, lol.
That's why in the 6 ft 7 ft track, it was so hype to just hear Shaggs, well, hype himself for a minute. That track is literally an advertisement promo for this FTFOMF album. J tossed in some controversy shit to get us all talking, as he's known to do. Say what you want about ICP, but they are pros at hyping stuff. Nothing wrong with that.

Yup, said that a few weeks ago. That one song was like killing 3 birds with 1 stone homie.
I wonder if anyone can confirm the validity that YW indeed made "Tell these bitches". If he did,
as a producer, he should have got some kind of credit.

I got #25/1000. Unfortunately I do not have a cd player. Even the 3 laptops we have don't have CD/DVD players. Many new ones are not built with them anymore.I really only wanted the jersey so that was the real reason for getting it for me.
Yeah those jerseys are super killer! Didn't have the cash to get that pack, just got the shirt/CD pack. I wonder who got 1/1,000 haven't seen it online (IG) yet.
Apple laptops I'm assuming? My wife just got a new HP laptop and it came with CD/DVD drive. But yeah I have noticed that they are getting phased out, that's for sure. Even the memory is getting down graded, as they want you to store everything in the cloud these days....fuck that! I like my big ass 1TB hard drives.

Nope, never apple. Will never own an apple product. Just from a programmability standpoint, I can't do it. I can program apps for almost every device (android tablets and phones, windows pc's, tablets, and phones, even blackberries) with just one set of code. I have to write a completely different set of code for iOS. It's silly. Apple has, since it's inception, remained proprietary in code and in peripheral connectability. If it wasn't for the manufactured cult of apple, it would have died a decade ago.
I keep an external 2TB drive but I have been fine with my 256G SSD. Lightening fast. From a cold boot to login screen... 6 seconds.
Anyway, yep. The jerseys are pretty awesome.

I finally got to listen to this all the way through. My preorder showed up right on time, I just didn't have the time to listen to it.
I'd have to say my favorite track is "Stretch Nuts: A Legend is Born." Don't care that part of the beat is sampled. It's extremely entertaining, and I got to troll my girlfriend with it a few times. I played it pretty quietly a few times and she just liked the overall sound of it (didn't pay any attention to the lyrics during those listens) and asked for the MP3 of it. She listened to it without me there apparently a little louder and realized that the lyrics are entirely about ballsacks. Made my day.
The only song that I didn't care for too much was Electric Kool-Aid, but that seems like the one that most people didn't really feel.
Clay did a good job on it. I like that it didn't sound anything like MML, as it probably would have it they kept YW's version of it. Nice to have a little variety.
Overall, I would give it an 8.5/10. Whoop Whoop!

Very solid album front to back. Only one i skip, as others have stated, is the electric kool aid track. Was anybody else half anticipating hearing "Pinball Wizard!" On that title track? The beat def makes me think of that bloodstepp track

solid album...I don't have any songs that I straight up always skip but I'd say the weakest songs to me are Electric Kool Aid (the way Shaggy's flow switches up with the beat in the verses is dope just don't care much for the concept) and 7 Deadliest (it's not bad but Shaggy didn't seem to really stick with the theme of the track much...just says some shit about Sloth and other shit in the last verse so I felt like it was kind of a missed opportunity more than anything...I still listen to both of those songs but would have replaced either of them with Aww Shit in a heartbeat if I had it my way
so basically...7 Deadliest is like this albums It's Bout Time for me and Electric Kool Aid is more like Ball Bounce (though I listen to Electric Kool Aid a lot more than I ever did Ball Bounce so that's something lol)

Quick Easter egg or tidbit, Shaggys video was filmed in southwest Detroit having grown up and lived in southwest for the better part of 30 years I knew exactly where the outdoor scenes where filmed.. drove by them all the time but it wasn't till today that I noticed the name of the street which is "Otis" now I'm sure it's just a "coincidence" but jus thought it was kinda funny.
