I don't like AMB either but Otis seems to be getting much better. I still wouldn't listen to one of their albums by choice but it's clear that he's at least trying to improve. Rap aside, the dude can produce the fuck out of some music. A lot of producers that Psychopathic uses have a very manufactured, perfectly polished sound but his have a minimalist quality that really force the lyrics to the foreground.  

I remember months ago in a interview icp said they were gonna   talk to mec first to see if he'll produce the next joker card so I guess its up to him.  so hopfully and I can get lots of beer when it comes out to man

What sucks for me is all I care about is the music. Especially the new. We used to get excited and enjoy it. Now we just look at them with cynicism  and when they come out instead of really understanding the. We're like "oh there's a song where they say fuck you.... He must be dissing violent j with all his pent up anger."  Very obnoxious. Is that all they're about now?  I don't think so. So I defend my beliefs. Since clearly were not going to have an interesting conversation. And at this point in time where else could one go to discuss this music?

Maybe the hypothetical beef is an interesting topic. We all seem to be interested in it.

Also, notice how Twiztid pointed out that The Darkness out sold Abominationz in it's first week? Totally a diss to Psychopathic since they fucked up the order and drastically lowered the first week sales of Abominationz. (that actually did happen too)

I like AMB, but they did kind of screw up Catch And Kill. Otis's singing was just god awful on that song. It completely clashed with the rest of what was on there.

 

Also, their beats, still dope, are kind of simple and predictable. I don't hate them they are definitely dope, but I stick with Scruffy's side on wanting Mike to produce it.  

I would definitely prefer Mike E do it but they could do MUCH worse than Otis as a producer. I think simple beats have worked and can work again for ICP. Which is why I wouldn't necessarily hate Otis behind the scenes. Sure his beats are simple as fuck but, like I said before, simple beats like his push the lyrics front and center. When I listen to ICP I don't want to be distracted by thirty layers of organs and Legz Diamond's shitty-ass, 80s power metal solos like I did on Shangri-La. I want to hear some basic ass clowny beats and ICP doing their thing over top of them. As far as producers they use, the only ones I think could do that well are Mike E and Otis.
