I assumed they had already signed some people since they put out a number. Wasn't it like 5 or something like that? When I started this thread I was hoping for some established acts, but now I wanna see some people that are entirely unknown. I'm ready to see the next generation of the genre.

i believe they said four acts, not counting twiztid.
i really feel like they woulda told us about em by now, though, if they really had it figured out. so most likely, they dont.

Yeah, I bet you're right....And yes, they have been pretty quiet lately except for the latest video and the horror conventions they've been doing a lot since they left the hatchet.

They dont get paid thats why you see assholes like tony todd charging 20 dollars for a autograph and a mean mug, its simply a opportunity for exposure and to sell merch, and honestly i think it is a waste of time, because its not really converting that many new fans, they may make a little coin off the merch sales, but think about how much they are paying on travel expenses and lodging.........

i like to think its cuz they are workin on big thangs.problem is, setting up preorders for products that dont exist yet and attending zombie conventions are not big thangs.
and the darkness, which was supposed to be a big thang, didnt really move me much.
Judging from their interview from a month or two ago they have a bunch of shit on the horizon. Well, they have a bunch of shit they'd like to do on the horizon anyways...Maybe they are overreaching

I mean... what exactly does this do for Twiztid? Is this just exposure? Do they make money off this? I feel like these are a colossal waste of time. I genuinely would like to know.
Trying to spread their name among horror fans I'd wager. Which is why they had Kane and Sid in the Sick Man video plus Sid and Bill on the skits in The Darkness. Who knows?

Yes, true. And I believe a couple more on the way. But they've still been pretty quiet, regardless.

If the convention invites them to be part of a panel, they likely pay the travel and room. And Twiztid might plan it out so it's basically no different than touring and they stay on their bus, from one to the next. They might also get paid to appear but it depends on the size of the convention and the nature of their celebrity, and whether the convention thinks they're a big enough draw. I'd wager they don't get paid but I could be wrong.
A lot of people charge on top of getting paid because it's their primary source of untaxed income.
I don't know how many fans it is winning them but I agree with Chris that it probably isn't a lot. I think their first goal isn't really to win fans but to get their name out there and let people know that they aren't "ICP 2.0" and that the horror is a major aspect of their music. Which I think is a brilliant tactic. A girl I know who isn't a juggalo and who doesn't know who they are texted me from a convention about the long line at the Twiztid autograph table.

I hope Twiztid succeeds, I really do. So far I've been painfully underwhelmed. The best thing they did was rerelease Blaze's last album. Darkness was supposed to show us that Twiztid can do it without Psychopathic, and they didn't. AbominationZ is head and shoulders better, darker, harder-hitting than Darkness. Darkness has like 3 songs I can play over and over.
I agree 10000% except about the blaze rerelease. That wasn't even that big of a deal. At least, to me. I never thought he was worth a full album. He murders it on lotus and rydas but a full album? I can't even make it though one full solo song of his.

Painfully disagree..I personally loved Darkness..still bumping it front to back.I have been a fan since mostasteless and I think this is a solid Twiztid CD if it was on PSy or not..but to each their own.

They might do the horror conventions because they LIKE horror stuff. Kinda like how ICP has always done wrestling stuff because they LIKE wrestling.
Thank you. Not everything they do has to be for money or exposure. They do it cause they like it. There is pretty much no reason for ICP & Twiztid to give out sampler CDs & hard copy singles anymore, they do it cause it's fresh.

Well I got The Darkness, it wasn't what I was expecting at all. That being said, I love In Hell, A Little Fucked Up, Down Here, F.T.S., Take It Away, On and On, and I'm really glad I can own A Place In The Woods on CD finally. The rest seems like nothing but filler. They pulled an AbominationZ on me where I was all hyped for 19 tracks and fucking 4 of them are skits, one (afraid of the dark) is nothing more than an intro type track, and 3 of them are rerelease. So really it's 11 new songs and I only thoroughly enjoy 7 of them. So essentially, as far as my listening experience went, I just paid full price for another EP. A rather stellar EP mind you, but God damn if I wasn't dissapointed in it as their first "full length" release since leaving Psy.

Considering Get Twiztid EP was 10$ for 5 songs, Darkness seems like a hell of a bargain for 10$ imo
It was 15 bucks at the indie music store in the mall, and I know it's well worth it but fuck man I was just bummed cus they're on fire lately and this release fell 11 out of 19 tracks short for me and that fuckin sucks you know?

I get ya..they could have made it a bit longer but I really love it, front to back..I cant wait for their next album. I never bought the Get Twiztid EP so those extra dope tracks on darkness were icing on the cake for me...I just wish they released the OG version of A place in the woods on the darkness or both...the remix doesnt work as well imo..
