So, I got the abominationz picture disc vinyl and I thought I would tell you all how it is.

The disc looks great, but it is in a clear sleave, like the 45 picture discs have been, which is a disappointment because I like the art but whatever. The Sux 2 B U/ Return of the pervert 45 is bright blue and the sleave is great.

On to the music itself, first of, it sounds great! No tracks being cut short and the audio quality is great, same with the 45. But this is where the good ends, first of they cut all the skits, Hes Looking at Me, Psychopathic Psychiatric Hotline, Unable to Cry for Help or to Escape From a Seemingly Impending Evil, and It's Hard to Smile When You're…, which yes I know some people dont like the skits, its about delivering a full product, also these are my personal favorite skits. For the most damning part of this vinyl, they cut Abominationz, the whole song, which is a slap in the face to people looking forward to a full album and not to mention they cut the song that ICP was featured on, if you dont know.

Overall, this is up to you if your a collector i'd get it looks great and sounds great, but if its strictly for the album, id give it a pass considering  they cut a whole song and some great skits

Right on. Maybe things have changed. To be honest, I haven't bought one in like 15 years. Back in the day it was always plastic. How do the ICP ones sound?

Twiztid cut all the skits from The Darkness and one song called "on and on." I am not surprised they would take a similar approach to make the album fit onto one vinyl disc. Picture discs often are and were sold in plastic sleeves with no artwork. Of course there have been counter examples. For all the classic rock heads, here is one example.

Some of the Iron Maiden reissues have been picture discs in full album covers as well.

Even the Iron Maiden album from 2008 THE FINAL FRONTIER was two picture discs inside a regular album cover with full artwork. I would however prefer something like this instead were I given a choice:

I was aware of the Twiztid Abominationz picture disc being in a clear plastic sleeve only. I saw a picture of a packaged one on the MNE instagram a few days ago. Looks awesome. Of course I won't get the black vinyl like I would have wanted, but a picture disc can still sound alright I guess. And yes, I do love the fact that ICP is going for full album cover art as well as new awesome picture disc art with re-issues such as Beverly Kills and Tunnel of Love. But the pink wax for explicit Tunnel of Love cover, that's the one I want. Even coloured wax has a sound preferable to what a picture disc can reproduce. However, the stripped down old hip hip sound of Beverly Kills sounds just fine on picture disc.

i think of vinyl collecting as something as a novelty in itself.

i know it isnt for many ninjas;  but for each of them, theres another who buys shit like this, hangs it up or sumn, and never ever plays it on the turntable they dont have.

so to me, this picture-that-makes-noise thing is a novelty upon a novelty.

kinda like sellin a pet rock thats been painted to resemble the box the original pet rock came in.

in fact, its exactly like that.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

No skits. No song "Abominationz" featuring Insane Clown Posse.  So the picture disc must be like this.

Bad Side 4:04
Unstoppable 4:32
Rep That Wicked 3:31
Blood...all I need 3:23
Lift me up (ft. Blaze) 4:00

Extension Chords 3:08
Coin Flip Lunatic 2:37
This is Your Anthem 3:51
Nightmarez 3:17
2nd 2 no 1 3:33
ldlha 4:41

I think it definitely shows a bit of saltiness to leave the ICP collab off the vinyl release but then again I thought ICP performed really poorly on that song (the song overall wasn't very good) so if their reason for leaving it off is that it just didn't turn out to be a very good song then I'm fine with that lol

Found the picture disc in a local shop today. Got it. Played a couple tracks. Looks awesome. Sounds okay. Not great. It is a picture disc after all.
