Okay, something weird as hell happened last night while I was sleeping. At least, I think I was, I think there were periods when I wasn't.
So anyway as I was laying, I can see the red tint of the light in my room from my lava lamp. Then I was laying on the floor, then I got this feeling of panic. It swept right through me, as if something was in the room with me. All I remember was that I wanted to get out, I was in a hurry. I needed to go. I couldn't move, it felt like my body was too heavy, I can only crawl at a slow pace. I could see in my empty room. But I can tell that something was there, I felt it. Then I opened my eyes, I was back in my bed. I looked around. I heard the voice from out the room in the hall, it was just the housemother talking, so I knew I was fine. But then, I found myself back in that paralysis state. I couldn't move, I crawled off my bed, again, I was too heavy to walk, I was crawling. Then I opened my eyes, still in my bed, then I couldn't move still, I tried, I tried to yell, but it was just a muffled sound. I tried to breathe heavily to wake myself up, took deep sharp breaths, but that didn't work. I couldn't leave. And that's pretty much all I can remember. But it was pretty fucked up. Glad the morning came.

lava lamps are pretty ubiquitous. teen always have em.
if there was any era where the lava lamp was a hot item, yeah, itd be the seventies.
on the other hand, saying 'thats so [year]' is, itself, so 1995.

Sleep apnea most likely. Another less popular idea is that it was a form of astral projection. I used to do that shit when I passed out in school with my head in my arms. I'd end up covering my mouth and nose in the crook of my elbow. It is a scary fucking feeling when you know you can't breathe but you can't wake up

@jiffylong , What you and others are describing is a common thing. it's called Sleep Paralysis. Here is the link to WebMD on it. -> http://www.webmd.com/sleep-dis.....-paralysis . There are a lot of sites that talk about it too, so google it.
It can be quite scary the first time you get it, but once you know what it is, it loses that mystical quality it may seem to have.

To be proactive, according to WebMD fatigue can cause sleep disorders. At Psyral's job signs are posted to remind employees that "Dehydration is the #1 cause of daytime fatigue." I hope this rehydration link helps your sleep, as I've heard that 75% of Americans may suffer from chronic dehydration.

One of my best friends has sleep apnea. He gets prescribed GHB. He almost burned down his house with that stuff, smoking a cigarette after taking his prescribed dose of GHB. But yeah, he randomly falls asleep during just about anything. Except for when drawing. He's never fallen asleep when drawing. Oh, and he never ever spills his drink. Falls asleep with drink in hand and never spills a drop.

Happened probably a couple more times since this, the latest being today.
Fell asleep listening to music.
By the time the CD was over I woke up to it.
Was just layin' on my bed like, "suuup". Tried moving my arm and leg, didn't work, so I was like "fuck it". It was during the day, so it was kinda weird.
But like Lucky said, could get annoying, what if I wanted to do shit.

@jiffylong , next time it happens, instead of trying to move, will yourself to fly. Or any other thing you would want to do in a dream. You may be stuck in a lucid dream state where you believe you are awake because your consciousness is not dormant. I don't know, just something to try.

dude there was a week where i was having them lucid dreams.. the first time was kinda scary but then i realized i wasn't awake, then i woke up... but the net time it happened i was ready for it (so to say) and i actually did fly right out of my house and down the street and shit!! hands down the best dream of my life! i wish i could make it happen on will though, that would be the shit.
