I remember seeing a fundraiser sponsored here on faygoluvers about Juggalos spreading autism awareness. There was a t-shirt and quite a few supporters for it. Apparently, the "suits" at Psychopathic Records have shut it down due to the use of the hatchetman logo. So much for the family crest being the family crest. Seems to be just a dollar earner now.
You go Psy. Shut down those do-gooders. We have a gangsta image to uphold....?

Is it possible to get a hold of Psy. and ASK if you can do these things? I have a feeling if someone emailed the label, or jumpsteady, or who-the-fuck-ever and asked if they could use the hatchetman logo for autism awareness, the label would be more likely to be OK with it. Fuck, they might even come and show support, since they've been on the kick lately.
I still think it's fucked up that they CaD'ed them, but people have to realize that it IS a copyrighted design.

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Unlike you I actually own a fundraising organization. The worst thing about becoming a 501c3 is the price. The paper work pales in comparison to even a simple business license. I don't even know what to say to your second point. First of all they weren't "attached" to this autism awareness project. Their logo was being used thus is why it's a CR C&D. And I have no idea what you're talking about "Someone being attached to a charity without filing paperwork". There is no paperwork to be filed for a sponsorship. Which is the only thing I can think of that you're trying to say. When I sponsor a 501c3 we trade advertisements and I of course give out a percentage of profit during the event to the organization after the event. For that I get a tax notice for my donation that eventually gets filed into my taxes at the end of the year. There is no paperwork aside from a contract of obligation between the two companies simply to keep things above board and to make sure everyone understands the conditions. But there is no government mandated paperwork to fill out between the 501c3 and their sponsors.
