hm. pennies for necro... this gives me an idea.
we could propagate 'pennies for [whoever]' campaigns. the idea being that you legitimately send two pennies to whatever artists you hate. basicly, it would be a way to publicly and directly declare yourself a hater. simply hating on a few forum posts aint shit, send em a couple pennies like, 'heres my two cents, bitch!', then youre really showin ass!
it could be the negative-ass hater version of the faygo bucket challenge...
as he is the originator of the concept, its only natural that i nominate @patjoyce to be the commissioner. he should have a strong say in the rules, but i envision it working like this:
1 - the hater mails two pennies to the target. maybe with a note attached, or some other hater flash to spice it up. you also give em some contact info. at the absolute least an email address or your forum profile.
2 - hopefully, the target then responds in some fashion, or at least makes it clear that they got the message. making sure that the target gets the message is the whole point here, so dont halfass it; really try to get those pennies to your target.
3 - the last step is the most important: the hater posts the whole story in the forum for the world to read, and updates it if there are developments. and no bullshit, either; be real with it. [not sayin i dont believe pats story, exactly, but i really cant say i do believe it. im not sure if i really believe about sixty percent of what pat says; i dont think hed let accuracy get in the way of a cheap laugh]

Production of the Canadian penny ceased in May 2012, and the Royal Canadian Mint ceased the distribution of them as of February 4, 2013. However, like all discontinued currency in the Canadian monetary system, the coin remains legal tender. Once distribution of the coin ceased, though, vendors no longer were expected to return pennies as change for cash purchases, and were encouraged to round purchases to the nearest nickel. Non-cash transactions are still denominated to the cent.
