Hello, my name is Cliff. I am speaking on behalf of myself, my beautiful fiance' Brittany and her son Hayden. I need to start from the beginning for you to understand our situation. We are from Rolla, Missouri and I myself moved here just recently in the beginning of June, but Brittany has lived here since she was 6 months pregnant with Hayden. She had moved back to Missouri from Illinois when she found out that her father had a heart attack and 2 strokes due to old age. Her fathers name was Bill. 2 years had gone by where I came into the picture. I fell in with Brittany and she needed my help taking care of her father and her 2 year old son Hayden because Bill was developing internal bleeding from the aspirin he was taking. The aspirin was storing in Bill's body and not exiting like it should've been, at this point it was only thinning his blood. Eventually the internal bleeding caused multiple organ failure, infection on the brain and several strokes which caused Bill to pass as of June 28th 2014, ten days after Father's Day. We were now stranded in Bill's house for 2 months with little food, in a small town outside of Rolla, with no car or place to go. Bill was renting the house at the time and being the fact that we were not on the lease and could not maintain rent to be put on the lease, we were forced to vacate the premesis. We have been on the streets since July 30th 2014. I myself have been struggling to make what little money I can for hotel rooms for me, Brittany and Hayden. Whatever money I do make goes to a hotel room leaving no room to save up for a new home plus it is very expensive. We have tried shelters for Brittany and Hayden but the shelters are always full and any other shelter is too far away especially since we have no transportation. We have went to chruches, Salvation Army and any other resource we can think of but no one can provide any shelter or funding. We have found someone that is willing to hold on to a trailer for us available Sep. 1, 2014 and luckily I have finally got hired at a restaurant just yesterday but we have to check out of the motel that we are in this Friday morning with no more money and no place to go, and I wont recieve my first paycheck until September 8th. Hayden has a birthday coming up on August 26th, he will be 3 years old. We have to spend his 3rd birthday walking the streets unless we can get into this trailer. We may not be able to celebrate his birthday but at least we can try to get him a home. If we can come up with the first months rent, damage deposit and money to have the utilities turned on, my job will provide the money we need to maintain rent and bills. We have no help to go for and a dear friend referred me to this site. This is a last option for us and we are desperate to rebuild a home for the only family we have left, being us. If there is anyone out there reading this I assure you if you can please help us we would embrace your generosity and not abuse it. I really don't know what else to say, I understand that the story and situation is completely overwhelming but we are trying to hold our heads high for Hayden. We don't want him to think for one second that we are in trouble and can't make it. We want to keep him safe, well and always smiling. Given the the right chance and a good opportunity we will be able to give him the life he deserves and come together as a family stronger than ever, but we need your help.
