What do you guys think about the new IT movie coming out this year? I pray they get it right. I can't bear film studios butchering the classics anymore. If you wanna remake it, fine. But at least do it right.

I don't like Stephen King in the least (detest is more applicable), thought that the original "It" movie was a boring YA flick turned boring Goosebumps episode turned poorly made adventure movie and think that Tim Curry was way overrated. My girlfriend disagree's with me on every single one of those things so I'm super curious to go watch the remake with her. We're both coming at it with different memories invested and different expectations of what it should be.

On the topic of remakes, the Friday the 13th remake never gets love and that sucks. That movie was better than most of the "original" Friday the 13th movies.

Looking for some recommendations from last year.

A Quiet Place and Hereditary were the two stand outs for me. I just finished Castle Rock season 1 and have that horror itch. What Y'all got?

Homie, you sound fucking insane to me right there.

Read the book "IT". All 1,000+ pages. Fuck both films.

There are no good Friday the 13th movies.

I hope you watched "Mandy"? Nicholas Cage? It is on another level. You have to have all lights off in the house. Smoke enough just to get you paranoid. Then zoom up into it. It will pay off.

"Hereditary" was SUPER recommended by one of my last living true homies. And it delivered about 80% of what he promised. It was likely the best horror film I've seen in years, either way.

Haven't seen A Quiet Place, yet. "Bird Box" was good, I've always liked Sandra Bullock. I once wrote a script with her where Adam Sandler kidnaps her. This was circa 2002. I was creative back then.
