Violent J mention in an article published on The News Herald that major changes would be happening starting on January 1, 2018.
According to this article ICP will also be making an announcement about their next album on January 1, 2018.
Here’s what was said:
On New Year’s Day 2018, meanwhile, ICP plans to make an announcement about its next album and other future activities. “There’s gonna be a lot of changes made in 2018,” Violent J says. “All things will be changed in 2018 — like major change, to pretty much everything. That’s the only way I can put it right now.”

They may drop the whole roster and focus exclusively on ICP. J has been hinting at that for years. How did J put it a while back? “All I can guarantee is that ICP will never die”. Meaning don’t count on them having a Gathering every year, or having a roster to promote beyond themselves.

They probably see MNE blowing them out of the water and decided to make major changes such as actually promoting other artists. Hopefully will stop with their psy radio / social media outlashing against other artists and former label mates.
Or.. with everything going on what if these changes end up being them getting closer and closer to just throwing up their arms and saying “fuck it all.”

The door is kinda wide open as to what it could be. Maybe they will start another sub label that will actually see new up and coming artists sign and move over to PSY if they are popular enough, basically what Hatchet House started out as.

Whatever changes are coming cant be any bigger than what has already happened in the last couple years. Your best signed artists become your biggest competition. The rest of the artists on your label jumping ships. First female artist on PSY. J wanting to axe murder that boi. BIG changes have already happened… I think what they meant is how do they plan responding to this change in the aftermath instead of sitting back and watching the shit they created crumble in front of their very own eyes. As average as the current PSY roster is (besides LYTE, raw talent), I want to see the Hatchet get back into the Swing of things…. But do ICP have anything left in the tank is the question??? Are they still hungry???? They created a legacy that will never die. Is that enough to hang their hats on?? Being worth 30 million is a huge accomplishment on its own. What more can they possibly do after reaching such height????

I agree with twiztidmac, they will probably just go digital. They’ve talked about realizing how CDs are going out of style for a while now. Sadly for people like me, this is still what we prefer. Maybe I’m a product of my era but I’d much rather enjoy buying a physical CD than buying digital. I also think digital should be cheaper because you miss out on the casing and cool artwork plus occasionally information about other albums coming up. That’s just me though.

Interesting perspectives… Whatever they do, I wanna be a part of it Im sure. Ive had a great life as a juggalo, aside from the po-po incidents, & Im grateful to be alive in this era to experience their shows and to grow with their music.
