A few years back, we published a Song of the Week called “Toxic Fumes”, which we credited to the Insane Clown Posse. That spurred quite a few comments about the legitimacy of the track. You can see the original post right here.

Just yesterday, our homie DCFaygoGuy dug the track back up and posed the question: Is this an ICP track???
He actually reached out to me about it to see if I knew the track’s history, and if it was legit, why was it scrapped? I honestly wasn’t 100% sure…if it was a hoax, then whoever put it together did a damn good job!
Anyways, DC Faygo Guy put this video together giving his 2 cents over the authenticity of the track:
This prompted me to reach out to Psychopathic Records to see if they could confirm or deny that “Toxic Fumes“ was a scrapped ICP track. I contacted J-Webb who was fairly certain that it wasn’t. But he went up ANOTHER level and hit up the man himself: Violent J!

Violent J said that while it was a good attempt at a rip off, this was NOT ICP. So there you have it! It may have been a point of contention for years, but now you know the truth! Spread the word!

This was a rumor for all of about 10 seconds. Anyone should be able to hear this doesn’t sound anything like ANY members past or present of ICP. The megaphone type effect is the only time they sound remotely like Violent J and the more you listen to it the more you can hear it really doesn’t sound anything like him anyways. Like 10-15 years ago there was a fake ICP album circulating made by some fans I feel like this is where that came from. I don’t remember what it was called but they always labeled it as ICP songs.
