Last night, Faygoluvers.net posted the news that Esham would not be returning to the Gathering. You can check that post out by CLICKING HERE. An artist announcing that they’re not going to the Gathering wouldn’t normally be news worth posting however this year during the Insane Clown Posse’s seminar at this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos, Violent J made the announcement that there were “rumors” that the Soopa Villainz would be performing at next year’s Gathering.
The Soopa Villainz consists of ICP & Esham so we figured that Esham announcing he won’t be attending was definitely something worth posting about.
It definitely got a lot of people talking.
Esham took to his Facebook page to respond to us posting about his announcement.
Just a brief comment on the “news” Faygoluvers Heaven posted yesterday… Don’t be so quick to buy into the hype of negativity. That post is one of the most viewed/shared posts on their page, because let’s face it, that’s what people want to read. Misery. Failure. Lies. Drama. But since so many of you have asked, here’s the truth: Absolutely nothing negative happened at the #GOTJ17. The fans were amazing, RLP unloaded alot of new merchandise, and everyone left feeling good about it all. Esham’s decision not to return to the gathering was made months ago! That is the reason he sweat his ass off in 90°+ for 13 hours in a vintage ICP jersey, and the reason for the two hour set. Love. For the fans… and the music.
I personally don’t think there was any kind of hyping negativity.
We here at Faygoluvers simply deliver the news as the underground delivers it to us.

faygoluvers didnt say anything negative.
some of the users of faygoluvers had pretty negative things to say… but honestly, most of em would say precisely the same shit after any article with eshams name on it. cuz thats what they do.
side note, im certain esham didnt play for anything close to two hours. not that i was standin there with a stopwatch, but two hours woulda been fairly hard to mistake. hell, the sun woulda been up.

Lol that’s what i was thinking. I probably kicked it with you for about 75% of his set before calling it a night around 4:30. There’s no way he kept on for another hr +.
However, aside from WOTH, Esham put on my favorite set of the gathering.

Esham always says crazy shit. His entire career is built upon him saying crazy shit. I don’t really care what he says, or if I see him at a Gathering again, or even if I see him in concert again. I’m still gonna bump his fresh ass music and I’ll always give his new shit a chance.
I remember one year at Cave in Rock he didn’t perform but he had his people there selling “Homey the Clown 2” or whatever it was called. And on the ride home I was like “this sounds like a lot of disses to the people he just sold it to” – and then later he covered it by saying “oh that wasn’t me it was Homey”. He’s crazy but if the song is dope, I’ma bump it.

I won’t be disappointed if Esham doesn’t go to another gathering, but I am a little disappointed I missed his set cause I was too tired and shit. Also, what’s good, Scruffy? I tried to find you at the gathering. Did you catch Sewerside’s set? I seen a bunch of forum members, but they were gone by the end of the set, so I didn’t get to talk to anyone. I did talk to Rachel for a bit and helped her pass out flyers.

I didn’t see any negativity. Guess it’s all in perception. But this has me thinking, didn’t J say in the FLH interview in April that Esham was back producing ICP’s shit or something? Wonder what this will do with all that if what J said was true. Oh well I’m already getting ready for GOTJ 18 with or without Esham.
