ICP Tweets to Lupe Fiasco after his show in Detroit

Last night, Violent J shot a tweet out to Lupe Fiasco wishing him a fun and safe journey. I’m guessing that he was at the Lupe concert last night in Detroit at St. Andrews, which prompted the tweet.  You can check the tweet below

Lupe didn’t respond to the tweet, but he did retweet it:

luperetweet

Nothing earth-shattering, but we’ll see if it leads to anything.  Much love to Lupe for acknowledging the love!

Lupe Fiasco is one of my all time favorite rappers. Such a great artist, and now the best Street Fighter player in the world.

Tetsuo & Youth is my favorite album of 2015. If you haven’t heard it, listen to it. The lyrics are always really complex with double meanings or triple meanings. Like Adoration Of The Magi and it’s commentary on how we are obsessed with the idea of being born again or starting over. He draws our love of video games (the first verse being about Double Dragon) to religion like the born again christian to the hook being about the many album covers where people use baby pictures. Just listen to the goddamn album.

Probably not, I don’t have the money. Im’ sort of unemployed sort of not.

But I’d be kicking myself in the ass if I had to miss it. This is Lupe’s last year then he’s retiring. He’s supposed to be releasing 4 albums this year. Drogas, Drogas Light, Skulls (the long long long awaited sequel to The Cool) and Roy.

Then he’s going to be a competitive Street Fighter player.

So, sadly, I’m never going to get to see Lupe live. That’s if he actually commits to his retirement.
