PA man accused of killing a Juggalo named Derek Ferree found guilty of First Degree Murder

A couple of years ago, we posted an article about a Juggalo named Derek Ferree (pictured) who was murdered in York, PA.  It unfortunately happened over a drug deal gone awry.  You can see that article right here.  Fast forward two years, and the accused killer has officially been convicted of First Degree murder.  Now we know that this doesn’t bring Derek back, but at least there will be a little bit of justice served.

Dejerek Smallwood will be sentenced for the murders on December 18th.  You can read about the trial and sentencing below.

From ABC27.com:

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – A 23-year-old city man is facing life in prison following his conviction Friday in a two-year-old double homicide case.

Dejerek Smallwood was found guilty on two counts of first-degree murder. His sentencing is scheduled December 18.

Authorities say Smallwood and another man shot and killed 23-year-old Braydon Aldinger and 26-year-old Derek Ferree during a November 2013 drug deal.

Smallwood in January pleaded guilty to two counts of voluntary manslaughter, but he withdrew that plea in April.

His co-defendant, Laquan Pierrelouis, is still awaiting trial.

Much love to Derek’s friends and family who are undoubtedly feeling a little bit of relief from this news.
