Hell yes! 2 twiztid vinyls in one month! Really hope they eventually release every album on colored vinyl. To those wondering why vinyl??? Not only has it made a comeback since the last 10 years, but vinyl is also helping contribute to the death of cds. Look up record store day and see how much overpriced shit has came out in the last few years that people are eating up like mad. Because vinyl is the best way to listen to music. a vinyl record plays exactly like an instrument, meaning the sounds are natural vibrations rather then digital recordings. the needle scratches against the grain on the disc to play the music and direct sound is projected instead of a recording of a recording. Im so glad twiztid and the clowns have been doing vinyl lately

    sad news for the vinyl-philes…
it was almost certainly a digital master to start with.
its a direct analog copy of a digital waveform. what difference you might hear is just a result of the idiosyncrasies associated with turntables. you cant have greater fidelity than the master.

Well duh its a digital master, but those aren’t available to the public so this is the best way for masses to hear it. I only meant that its not a direct digital projection like from a ipod doc or cd player. The vinyl uses an analog format to play the sound that, like i said, is closer to instrument tone. Its like playing guitar through your amp vs hearing a recording of you playing. Regardless, the bottom line is vinyl will always sound better then cd’s and digital downloads. I have several albums on 4 different formats, wicked shit and other shit, and when you simultaneously play a cd, ipod, record and cassette through your receiver and switch between channels, every time the vinyl has better sound quality and clarity. Missing link vinyl sounded so fucking good I couldn’t even sing along even though I had already heard it 10+times. If a person can’t or doesn’t want to get a turntable, thats cool, but until you have experienced it, ya can’t say shit bad about it.

the digital master is available to the public; its identical to the cd. thus, the vinyl is itself a first-generation analog copy of a digital source. second, actually, since there generally has to be a vinyl master, too.
probably. i rather doubt they took the time to record at higher than 44k. especially back in 2000.
the differences you are hearing are comin from your players. maybe the receiver, too; mine at least has a lot of extra boosts and processing for the phono line. but the point is, you dont get any extra quality.
hell, most people got digital receivers now, anyway. if they have one at all.
