Mayor of Wilmington Announces Commemorative Plaque in Honor of Cannibal

Rachel here. First off, were here in the Delaware and Philly Juggalo Family would like to send a huge thank you to everyone who has shown their love and support as we prepare to bury our fallen brother this Thursday.

Last night, Delaware ninjas and people from far and wide gathered in Rodney Square in Wilmington to peacefully protest law enforcement’s removal of a makeshift memorial for Thomas “Cannibal” Cottingham, the Juggalo who heroically gave his own life to save a stranger and her daughter from a deranged assailant last week.

In reaction to the rally, Mayor Dennis P. Williams announced this morning that a permanent memorial plaque will be placed in Rodney Square to honor the fallen Juggalo homie, which we here at Faygoluvers hope will become a well-visited pilgrimage site for Juggalos far and wide wishing to pay their respects.

At last night’s gathering, the mother who Cannibal courageously protected finally spoke out after a long silence:

“That man was the only person that jumped in to help me out of all the people that were out here. And if he wasn’t there my daughter and I would have been slaughtered”

–Amadi Muhammad, rescued by Cannibal

Much love to everyone reading this, that we can all learn a lesson from Cannibal and dare each day to be different in the face of indifference, no matter the cost.

When I first saw this story somewhere else, the headline was “Wilmington Mayor Denies Commemorative Plaque.” By the time I clicked on it that fucker had changed his mind. Mad respect to the people who went to the rally and made that happen and of course to Cannibal himself.
