It’s that time of the week again, Metro Times Detroit has released their latest “Ask a Juggalo” column. This weeks column question is being answered by Vinnie Monaster.
In this column, Vinnie answers the question, What’s a ‘neden’? (Also, ‘How do magnets work?’) If you would like to send a question in to be answered, you can do so by emailing [email protected].

Q: What’s a “neden”?
A: Wonderful. This goes back to ICP being very fresh and unique. From the beginning, they have made their own vocabulary. They’ve created “Juggaloism,”which is their own personal vocabulary. And “neden” is part of that. Basically, neden is a direct reference to the female vajayjay, also known as the female private parts. Bottom line, neden is a very sweet way of saying the lady’s very personal business, if you will. That is actually one of my favorite words that they created, but it’s just one of the very many. That’s a word that was literally created by Joe Bruce and Joey Utsler— Violent J and 2 Dope. It’s their personal word that they coined, made, phrased, and are the only two guys I have ever known to that use that word. For sure.
Q: This may be the most frequently asked question from our readers: “How do magnets work?”
A: Gotcha, gotcha. As far as, “How do magnets work?” we somehow, in a smart way, want to make a rebuttal and say, you know, bottom line: Everything is science and, at the end of the day it’s just all part of the magic, how magnets work. It’s all part of the magic. It’s part of the magic of the Dark Carnival, brother.

what is with dumbfucks asking juggalos how magnets work? the whole point was that nobody knows how they work.
juggalos: when a dumbfuck laughs at you about magnets, respond that until somebody proves the existence of magnetic monopoles, no one will know. but at least you know why we dont know.

im with sqeek. these shits are dumb questions with dumb answers. sorry, vince, your answers are dumb as hell. ‘female private parts, very personal business’. what, is the word vagina too naughty and embarrassing? and, are titties now considered neden, too? very personal business such as menstruation, or do you mean more like settling affairs? and whats with the declaration that j and shaggs are the only two people who have used the word neden…? ‘juggaloism’ is a vocabulary? come on, brother, at least TRY. that shit doesnt even make sense. none of it does.
this is the first time ive actually bothered to read the answers to ask a juggalo, and i regret it. shit makes us look like middle schoolers. if this is what the answers have been like this whole time, then this column is doing us way more harm than good, and i can fully understand why ninjas lash back at it.

Pretty sure they did not make up the word neden. I Remember reading(can’t remember what?) and j said it was a slang word used around the southwest area or something like that. Since violent j did not use curse words when young he started using neden.

hell, they shoulda had me write this shit up; my response was about forty times better than that. vince clearly didnt even look anything up, just wrote whatever came to mind in a few minutes, put his name on it, and sent it off.
if you are gonna put yourself in the nominal position of an information authority, it helps [a LOT] to actually be informative. and authoritative, too.
