Myzery’s Camp Discusses His Upcoming Album and Talks About Future Plans

Our homie Hodge from Myzery‘s camp just sent over his latest press release. In the first part of this press release, Hodge reveals some details about Myzery’s upcoming album “Demon Angel,” which is set to be released soon.   Demon Angel will have features from Violent J, Ill.E.Gal, Freddie Foxx, and No Hope. Mike E Clark and Kuma have contributed to the  production.

In the second part of the press release,  Hodge announces details about Fuego Flamez (Myzery’s hypeman) upcoming release of his newest EP “Farewell…for Now.” The theme for this album is basically saying farewell to the self destructive lifestyle that’s been keeping opportunities and aspirations just out of reach. The album is set to drop in mid-September.

A MYZERY COLLABORATION…A LONG TIME IN THE MAKING!!!
During what many would consider as the freshman era of Psychopathic Record’s original roster, tracks like “Meat Cleaver” and “witching hour” would become collaborative blueprints – blueprints used to pave the way for an entire syndicate of aspiring underground artists looking to network. This movement has since grown globally, either as an acquired taste or via controversy…with no end in sight either way.

While that era was many moons ago, the bonds forged within this “first of its kind” underdog record label have finally reconvened within the studios of the notorious “Lotus Pod”. The talents of both Myzery and the most hated band in the world’s very own Violent J have finally made good on some unfinished business in the recording booth and, as a result, have turned out a track that is sure to create quite a buzz throughout the underground scene.

The track, titled “knockin on heaven’s door”, may sound like an obvious remake of sorts but it’s far from anything you’d ever expect from either artist – especially Violent J. J’s verse is without a doubt the most lyrically charged display of focus that he’s brought to the mic in years, if not ever. And while that statement may be quickly dismissed as no big feat, keep in mind that his discography has produced hundreds, if not thousands, of verses which are responsible for bragging rights as heard in- “put it down (PFOS 3)”, “sticky icky situation (Hatchet Warrior)”, and “fire (Cracked Tiles)”.

However, and unlike anything J’s been featured on before, this song removes the face paint and explores the areas of regret, failure, and shameful honesty, all associated with the struggles being just another everyday average traffic-jam-competitor.

“Knockin on Heaven’s Door” will be featured on Myzery’s upcoming (and LONG overdue) album, “Demon Angel”, set to drop in the near future. Aside from the “Heaven’s Door” track, D/A will feature more standout collaborations with the likes of: indie rap duchess Ill.E.Gal, NY hip hop pioneer Freddie Foxx, GOTJ 2013 Emcee Contest winner No Hope, as well as further contributions from Violent J – featuring production from Psychopathic’s own Kuma and the legendary Mike E. Clark.
Some of the tracks appearing on D/A have already been crowd tested and approved during Myzery’s May 27th guest performance opening for the Drive-By tour in AZ. A big thank you is in order to both Blaze & ABK, for allowing Myzery the opportunity to get the crowd warmed up proper for all the loyal AZ Juggalos who came out that night.

So, if you’re an old-school fan of Psychopathic Records who has been curious about what a proper Myzery studio release could be like, who has perhaps been curious as to what Violent J can really do when he taps into a rare no-nonsense approach to music, or who has simply wanted to hear some hip hop that hits hard without any all too trendy catch phrases or overly bubbly production, then we strongly urge you to experience the new Myzery & Violent J collaboration of “Knockin on Heaven’s Door”…coming soon.

WHAT’S IN STORE FOR THE REST OF MYZERY’S CAMP IN 2014…
Myzery’s own hypeman Fuego Flamez aka Eskeleto Man, who you may remember alongside Myz at the Riddlebox Weekend, GOTJ’s 2012 &2013, DJ Clay Shows, and Hallowicked 2013, is excited to announce the upcoming release of his newest EP “Farewell…for Now”. While the title suggests an early departure from the rap game, it’s not intended to be an actual farewell to the underground scene, but instead will serve as a departure from the self destructive lifestyle that’s been keeping opportunities and aspirations just out of reach. For those familiar with Flamez debut solo, or his P.M.E. work, you might remember him as a troubled youth, whose perceptions/motivations/ethics had taken a distorted downward spiral, after the tragic loss of both parents all but leveled his psyche. His verses and concepts explored in “Hell & Back” were literal dramatizations of the path he was leading, and the landing him in serious legal turmoil (watch Flamez “nightmares” video, complete with NYPD interruption at-

while severing ties with all of those who grew up with him, and were ultimately forced to grow away from him.
While his association with Myzery and many other prominent NY artists have provided him with many high profile opportunities to shine, his reckless lifestyle was responsible for squandering at least twice as many. Through some serious introspection and a dose of some tough truth-serum from his big brother Myzery, Flamez had an epiphany to shed his old persona, in an effort to salvage what youth he still has left.

Insert his newest album, “Farewell…for now”, which he predicts will be the final trace of his persona of troubled/dangerous youth. The album is set to drop in mid-September, and will contain guest features from Myzery, No Hope (2013 GOTJ Emcee Contest Winner), and Spanish Syde’s own Ralphie Mundo (who is also expected to drop his own “Captain Hook” debut album in late 2014). Speaking of the NY’s infamous Spanish Syde, Myzery has got the crew back together (after a long hiatus) for another hard hitting mixtape that’s sure to influence more random acts of hoodlum all through the streets. The release date is still TBD, but the album is already shaping up swiftly. While we always have more to tell, timing is everything, and we’ll be back soon enough with more insights into Myzery Camp’s upcoming releases, show dates, collabs, and more.
