It’s that time of the week again, Metro Times Detroit has released their latest “Ask a Juggalo” column. As we previously reported the questions are being answered by long time juggalo and Psychopathic Records employee Will Sigler.

Q: What is “clown love”?

A:”Clown love” is as close to unconditional love as you can get. No matter the person or the situation, you’re always showing love. Like when a clown has happy paint on — no matter the situation or scenario, he’s always happy, right? Well, it’s the same with clown love: No matter the way someone looks or their past, if they’re a part of this family, they get shown Much Motherfucking Wicked Clown Love. (MMFWCL). (Most just write MCL for short.) That love came from ICP. All those years ago, and, even to this day, writing songs about us, songs from the point of view of someone down on their luck or not accepted by others, and making us feel accepted and loved no matter our background, the way we looked, or anything. They showed us love, and, coming from the clowns, we deemed it Wicked Clown Love, and try to show that to everyone in our Juggalo family.

And our family is just like any other real-life family in America. There’s always gonna be people in your family you don’t see eye-to-eye with, or maybe even downright can’t stand, but when you get together for reunions, you always smile and put on a good face. But if the shit ever hits the fan or anyone does that family member wrong, everyone in the family would have their back. Just like people in your family may share blood or a last name, ours is deeper: We share loyalty and a Juggalo name.
