Codename Assassin is the newest release by Politicize. The mixtape features artists from various genres of hiphop, horrorcore inspired artists like Jason Porter and Mars to King of the Dot battle rapper Tantrum, Shogunna, and Red Mcfly, producer for French Montanas Coke Boys. The mixtape includes the singles, “My Pride” with Tantrum and Shogunna which salutes many Asian American Hiphop artists on their grind. Other singles include “Darkness Falls”, a horrorcore banger produced by Jason Porter Featuring Mars and Jason Porter. “Silver Lining” Features a collaboration between Red Mcfly and Politicize with Politicize on the beat. Listen as they both speak on their prospective aspirations and ambitions. Politicize stretches the imagination of the listener with subjects ranging from putting overindulgent celebrities out of their misery, the state of hip hop, government sponsored false flags, school shootings, drone attacks, and other pivotal issues facing the world today. Listen as Politicize flips Big Pun and Fat Joes’ legendary track Twinz for the juggalos, competes with hip hops best artists like Immortal Technique on who can spit the politics best in “Constant Warfare” taking you on a roller coaster ride entertaining, educating, and speaking to the masses with no filter.

Farid Ahmed aka Politicize wasn’t always as confident in his abilities, as a child he saw his happiness and caring nature put him in several painful situations. “Growing up was never easy, I was loved at home but hated at school. Ever since the age of 7, I was constantly made fun of, pushed around, humiliated, beat up, and treated like I was nothing. I fought mentally and physically with my situation every day until I learned how to fight back with my fists.” Growing up hated brought out the underdog in Politicize and the things people once hated him for are now the same things individuals respect him for. “It’s not easy being an Indian/Pakistani Muslim standing against oppression. Immortal technique can stand against the bs and for Muslims and he’ll be called a hero for it. Rappers can claim there Muslim yet get drunk and act a fool and still have people respected them. However when a South Asian Muslim who has been affected most by anti-Islamic bigotry can’t speak the truth without people acting like he doesn’t have a right to?” It’s a confusing new world out there but as long as Politicize is around you can be assured that oppression against one is oppression against all. “Justice for all or justice for none is how I see it”. We should handle each case of class and race warfare as a problem. No one group of people has more of a right to justice than another. And until all are one, we must continue to fight.”

Track by track review and rating

Sensory Deprivation- A very solid simple beat drives this track.  The flow of the verse works with the beat very well.  No real hook in this one but it is a good track to lead the CD.  4/5

Celebutard Killer- The track is a remake of Dr. Dre ft Ice Cube “Natural Born Killaz.” The hook of this track is decent.  Because the verses are all about killing celebrities and the tone in his voice is not done very well this track falls way short.  He will have a hard time winning over old school rap fans with this one.  2/5

Hiphop Is Not- The beat in this track is sick and very well put together.  The verses take on more celebrities and rappers but it works here much better than the previous track.  Once again the hook is missing here.  3.5/5

Constant Warfare- A slow melodic beat backs solid verses about many political and social issues.  This track is well rounded and the flow of his delivery works here.  The hook is dope and drives home his annoyance with the industry and what’s going on in the world.  4.5/5

My Pride Ft Tantrum & Shogunna- This track has a hard hitting beat that is simple and effective.  The verses are nice and flow very nicely with the beat.  4/5

Come Up- Another slow beat here that backs a solid hook to start the track.  The verses are well written and performed.  This track continues his tirade on not getting enough recognition in the rap game.  3.5/5

Darkness Falls Ft Jason Porter & Mars- A straight horrorcore beat here.  The verse Politicize adds is dark in content and most horrocore fans will dig it.  Jason Porter throws in a solid equally dark verse.  Mars gives a verse that works here and is delivered with no doubt that it is his style.  The hook is simple but it works in this track.  3.5/5

Twinz Juggalo Edition- The track is a remake of “Twinz” by Big Pun and Fat Joe  The verses work well and flow with the beat solidly.  The one thing that stands out is his proclaiming Juggalo in a rap.  This works among certain fans but may turn some off.  3/5

Silver Lining Ft Red McFly- This track starts with a hook by Tori Amos and that is a nice change of pace.  That gives way to another old school slightly complex beat.  The verses are performed well with Red Mcfly adding some solid flavor to this one.  3.5/5

Conclusion:  Politicize, formerly Political Assassin, gives us another solid release.  While some tracks in this one are completely focused on political and social issues other ones dive deep into horrorcore.  Bringing new hip hop and rap fans to his music will be difficult in this one but it should appeal to his established fan base and some horrocore fans.
