Australian Customs Ban Juggalos’ Faygo Frenzy

Violent J informed Toby McCasker of fasterlouder.com.au in a recent interview that Australian Customs have ban them from bring Faygo into Australia. Insane Clown Posse will be touring Australia starting on Wednesday, December 4th and concluding on Sunday, December 8th. This mini tour will also feature Boondox and Big Hoodoo.

You can view the article that was published about the upcoming Violent J interview below. The full interview is schedule to be published later this week.

From fasterlouder.com.au:

According to that ever-reliable source of ultimate wisdom Urban Dictionary Faygo is a “carbonated urine that came from gay clowns”. It is also known as “ghetto pop” or the official soft drink of Juggalos the world-over and comes in flavours that include Jazzin Blues Berry, Diet Coconut Creme Pie and Honeydew Mist. Made in Detroit the soda has become part of a live tradition at Insane Clown Posse concerts known as Faygo Frenzy, where MCs Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope spray the soda all over themselves and the audience.

However, when ICP return to our shores this December for the first time in 10 years their Australian fans will not get to experience the undulated joy of being sprayed with sticky sugar water. “You know, I wish – I’ll be honest with you – I wish we could bring Faygo with us to Australia but we can’t, because there’s a customs issue. We can’t bring all of that Faygo ‘cos they think we’re gonna sell it,” Violent J told FL’s Toby McCasker in an interview last week. Unsurprisingly it would take nothing short of a miracle for Australia’s border security to believe the word of a couple of clowns on the FBI’s list of dangerous gangs. “We’re gonna throw it on the crowd and we tell ‘em we’re gonna throw it on the crowd, and they won’t accept that.”

Thankfully this doesn’t mean that Australian fans will miss out altogether, but they may just have to make do with a Passiona-frenzy instead. “Instead what we have to do is get some local pop, and strip the labels off, and everybody’s just gonna have to enjoy the spirit of Faygo,” J revealed. “But there’ll be plenty of soda-throwin’! Don’t worry about that, there’ll be plenty of soda-throwin’. It’s just gonna have to be, the Faygo spirit will be in our hearts.”

The full interview with Violent J – in which he discusses fighting the FBI, why Vanilla Ice is a Juggalo and his favourite brands of Faygo – will be published in full on FL later this week.

They can’t just… like, show them footage from ALL of their concerts and say “Look, we aren’t selling the shit?” I feel like taking Faygo overseas would be EXPENSIVE.
