ICP / Juggalos in the news

It’s that time again! Time for us to tell you about where Juggalos and the Insane Clown Posse have been mentioned on the interwebs, either positively or negatively (ok, mostly negatively), strictly for your viewing pleasure.  Our first result comes from Vulture.com, who put together a list of 2012’s Most Memorable Pop Culture Quotes.  If you’re a fan of Breaking Badlike I am, you know exactly what this one is about:

“Yeah bitch! Magnets!” – Breaking Bad‘s Jesse Pinkman is always a font of well-crafted verbal wisdom, and this gem, a rejoinder to the confused, magnet-related queries of Insane Clown Posse, is perhaps his best.

Next, we’ve got the “Juggalo News” sequences that FunnyOrDie.com put together.  There have been four (!!!) of them now, and Juggalos and non-Juggalos alike can’t seem to get enough of Krazee Thug Nutz.  Here’s an excerpt from the article about the skit:

“Juggalo News” (four appearances)
Considering how SNL has driven its Insane Clown Posse-inspired sketches into the ground, these sketches, now nearly two years old, should be covered with dust, but making a straight-faced nightly news parody centered around the juggalo concept just works (and would have killed at the ICP’s peak.) Focusing on a difference segment each time out, including finance, entertainment and human interest, there’s not a lot to them, outside of the ridiculous names (like anchor Krazee Thug Nutz), various facepaint designs and insertion of thug language into traditional news writing, but the contrast of the two sides is enough for an enjoyable sketch concept.

You can view that full article right here!  And finally, there was a quick article about Jack White doing a pseudo rap song on his upcoming release.  They then reference the fact that this isn’t the first time he’s dabbled in rap, and mention ICP.  You can check the reference below, and the full article right here!

White has previously dabbled in hip-hop, having recorded tracks with both Insane Clown Posse and Black Milk. ‘Blues on Two Trees’ will be available in full from the Third Man Records store today (October 30).
