C4

dfhfdh - "dfhfd" hdfhdfh - "fdgdfh"

Sup juggalos and juggalettes and pyros alike. It’s your boy BeZerk back again with an explosive interview with an artist as strong as a plastic explosive. Still in a bit of a writer’s block here, so let’s make this quick.

Coming out of Virginia, C4 has been blowing up the underground like the government blows up buildings. Rocking the stage with ICP on the Bang Pow Boom tour, Dayton Family, (hed)PE, and also opening most recently for Hopsin’s I AM RAW tour, C4 has been causing a stir in the New England underground. Collabing with mainly other underground cats, the explosive underground artist is making his name known.

Well juggalos, my creativity is used up right now. Time for another beautiful day in Minnesota (not sure if I mean it as a joke, because it is sunny and fuckin hot here for once). So you know what to fuckin do juggalos. Download the tracks, read the interview, share the link, and jerk off. Enjoy….

Interview for: C4
Real Name: Mr. Four
From: Richmond, VA
Rolls With: Hellbound Records/The Undustry (Chaotik, Methotical, David Skat, Travis O’Malley)

Faygoluvers: Why did you choose the name C4?

C4: I’ve always had an anger issue, kinda. My homies Mo and George, who I started rapping with, were trying to find a better name to fit me, because at that time I was going by Cash Crop. They’re still two of my best friends who knew me real well, and they picked that name for me because I’m real explosive. Once you push that button, there’s no turning back. Just like once you push that play button, there’s no turning bac,k and I’m bout to detonate your speakers.

Faygoluvers: Who would you consider as an inspiration?

C4: My mother being a single mother raised me, and all she use to listen to was 80’s hair metal and shit like that. When I was 6, we moved around Walmsley in Southside Richmond, VA (where I was raised), and I met friends round there and all they use to listen to was Dre and Snoop which was on top at the time as most you know. I got hooked on rap from there, and when I started rapping I incorporated that feeling of that 80’s metal into it, because it was such a big and massive in your face sound. That’s basically birthed into C4 and The Undustry. As far as actual rap goes, I would say Dre and Snoop did a lot along with everything else from the golden age of hip hop (Biggie, Pac, Jay, KRS-One, Nas, Scarface, UGK, Outkast, etc.) and of course Psychopathic and Strange Music when I found them some time later.

Faygoluvers: What would you say is your favorite Faygo flavor?

C4: Tie game straight up between the easily mixed with alcohol Rock-N-Rye and the sweetness of Peach Faygo, both are fucking refreshing.

Faygoluvers: Who have you gotten to work with in the past?

C4: As far as made people go, nobody really. I’ve worked with Nickelus-F, and I’m sure a lot of yall ain’t heard of him, but he’s blowing up in the underground shit right now. He was a retired champion on BET 106 and Park Freestyle Friday, and did a couple albums with Drake before Drake went soft, but he’s a good homie. The Undustry who are my fucking peoples and I got mad love for. LIFELIN3 who I fuck with a lot. Everybody else is just underground like me trying to do something like I just finished a track with Samson and OD (of SCS) called “Fright Night” which will be one of my singles off my next mixtape The Rapture 3. That shit’s massive.

Faygoluvers: Who would you like to work with in the future?

C4: Probably Hopsin and SwizZz. They are on their shit right now. Brotha Lynch would be nice. Slaughterhouse, Tech, Kaliko, Blaze, you, fuck it I don’t care if you good we can make good music together.

Faygoluvers: You opened for the I AM RAW Tour in Virginia Beach. How did that go?

C4: SweetTooth and 20 from Grimtowne put together that show, mad shout outs to them ’cause they showed love even though we had our differences in the past. The show was a nice vibe, there was no real drama, and everybody came out and got their drink on and had a great time. Hopsin, SwizZz, Dame, and DJ Hoppa, and the rest of that crew were real as fuck; especially Dame I got a lot of respect for that guy.

Faygoluvers: On April 26th, you dropped your album Portrait of a Wise Guy. What can you tell the juggalos about this album, and where they may possible be able to check it out?

C4: Well actually, I dropped the E.P. version back in February as a free project, and got so much good feedback on the shit, that I decided to add some more tracks and make it a full-length album. The E.P. can still be found at www.theundustry.com, which has the song “Nothing Really Matters” sampling one of my favorite songs by Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody). I removed it off the re-release for obvious copyright reasons, but you can still get it for free. A lot of people have told me it’s their favorite track of mine. Most of the production on the album is done by myself with the exception of a few songs that were done by White Hot, Hopsin, and Sindustry. We are currently in the works of setting up the webstore at www.theundustry.com, but if you hear some tracks and decide you want the album before, then you can find it sold by the company that presses it up Right Here. Most projects are free at www.theundustry.com about 20 or so free albums and EP’s.

Faygoluvers: You’ve opened for ICP, (hed)PE, and The Dayton Family. Who else have you been able to share the stage with?

C4: Man that Bang Pow Boom show was one of the greatest things I’ve did in my lifetime. Juggalos show a lot of love even if you not on Psychopathic. I hear a lot of shit from people saying they don’t like performing for Juggalos ’cause of the whole shit with Bubba Sparxxx and the Ying Yang Twins; but for real, if you don’t suck, they wont boo you off stage or throw shit at you unless you’re Method Man or Redman. I don’t know what all that shit was about but whatever. So yeah, they showed love and it was a great experience. Other than that I’ve also done shows with The Undustry, LIFELIN3, Loco, Unstable, High Society, Hopsin, Chaos, Neighborhood Hustlaz, Boosie and Webbie, and more I could go on for hours.

Faygoluvers: What else do you have coming up in the future? Any CDs, mixtapes, music videos, merch, etc coming out?

C4: Yes, we’ve launched The Undustry shirts and merch line (even skateboard decks), and we’re working on a compilation album between us 5 that’s slowly but surely (’cause we’re not just recording songs for the shit and tossing ’em on there). I got The Rapture Vol. 3 mixtape dropping October 21st. I’m working on some production for other cats albums like LIFELIN3’s album and Ya Boy Dutch and shit like that. I’m continuing the work on my official full length album, which I had a date set but with Rapture 3 and other projects have to push back I’ll probably shoot for a 2012 first/second quarter release. I’ll be looking to shoot music videos for these singles real soon, especially when time comes around to drop this next album, I’ll keep yall posted on that. The best thing you can do is hit that like button on that Facebook page and stay tuned in because why not? It’s not like you’re doing it for nothing haha.

Faygoluvers: Shout outs?

Every rapper that is really rapping ’cause they love music, and they got real things to speak about, and not because its the cool thing to do right now. All people who are real and don’t partake in pathetic activities such as internet thuggin. People who have real jobs. People who don’t hate on anything! Anyone I miss don’t get saucy I got love for you. I could go on for days but I’m not shouts to you BeZerk for this interview and taking the time. I only got one thing left to say and that’s……..
