What better way to tell you fans thanks for 30 great years than WITH FREE FUCKING MUSIC! That’s right. They gave this bad boy away for free to the members of the fanclub and newsletters. Which not only is awesome but a great way to celebrate 30 years together and even more to come!

From March 17 – April 17, 2010 Bad Religion went to various House of Blues venues in San Diego, Anaheim, Las Vegas, and Hollywood with each show being their longest set-lists in their history (30 songs each show) and out came this..their 2nd live Album and it’s free. What better way to say thanks right? The boys gave out all their classics (except for releases from the Bad Religion EP, Into the Unknown, Back to the Known, No Control, No Substance, The New America and The Process of Belief) plus a brand new song from their yet “untitled” new Studio album which is due for release this fall. The boys still playing like they’re in their late 20’s and Bad Religion is still a kick ass band to see live…Yes if Psychopathic is reading this BRING BAD RELIGION TO THE FUCKIN’ GATHERING! 2 of my fav BR songs made this CD and let me tell you “American Jesus” and “Los Angeles Is Burning” are 2 songs you got to hear Live just because it gets the fans just moving and guaranteed a massive and violent mosh-pit will go down. My only bitch is that songs like “Kyoto Now!, Sorrow, and Broken” was not on the release. But this album is still kick ass man!

30 years live is also the bands first live album since 1997’s “Tested” and alot has changed since 97. Brett Gurewitz returned to the band in late 2000 when Bad Religion left their major label Atlantic to return to their original home: Epitaph, They went thru 3 drummers in one decade (with one that can never ever play drums again), Sparked contraversy with “The Empire Strikes First” and also gave Epitaph big controversy with their fanbase when they signed emo bands (New Found Glory) and rappers (Atmosphere, Danger Doom, and of course the European Distribution for Psychopathic) leading the punk fans to think that they’re all sellouts now… But controversy creates cash and Epitaph is still ran solely independent and is not backed by a Major label after 30 plus years of being a record company. But this is not about Epitaph. This is about Bad Religion so let’s continue. For those who got to see this Tour recording live You were in for the best treat because they made sure the fans were loud and clear when they sung along to every single song of this recording and that’s still a taboo in music today.

The new song From their upcoming album that debuts on this album is called “Resist-Stance” and it’s a hard ass fucking song that is making me want to fast forward time to when this new album comes out cuz this song kick’s fucking ass!

All in all 30 Years Live is the perfect way for new fans to be introduced to Bad Religion. It’s also a reinsurance to old and loyal fan’s that Bad Religion is still alive and kicking ass. So don’t sleep on these punk rock legends anytime soon. Cuz they’re still tickin’, Kickin’, and Livin’. If you ain’t seen these boys live yet. go get a ticket to one of their shows in your area and get ready to enjoy the best experience next to the gathering.

To Greg, Greg, Brett, Brian, Brooks and Jay…Happy 30th Bad Religion. Let’s hope for 100 more!
