Herbert Mullin

Herbert Mullin grew up living the regular American life,and was even voted most likely to succeed by his high school classmates. But in 1972, Herb started to hear voices he perceived to be Satan, telling him to cut his hair, burn his dick w/a cigarette, and to kill. Herb obeyed the voices' every command. In October 1972, while driving around in the Santa Cruz mountains,Mullin saw an elderly homeless man walking along the side of the street. Mullin pulled his car to the side of the road asked the man to help him with engine problems. He proceeded to beat the man to death with a bat, and left his body where it fell. Then just 11 dayz later, Mullin heard the voices again,telling him to kill. He picked up a female student, stabbed her in the chest, cut her stomach open, ripped out her insides and threw them all over the side of a secluded road. In November, Mullin confessed his crimes to a priest then stabbed him to death in his confessional booth. In Febuary of the following year, Mullin was hiking in a state park,and found 4 teenagers camping in a tent. He casually walked in their tent and shot all 4 in a burst of gunfire. Mullin's final murder was the one that got him caught. While driving down a street, Mullin saw a elderly man working in his garden. He pulled up on the curb and shot the man to death. Neighbors wrote down his liscense plate, and he was soon caught. His reasoning behind his murders, was to prevent California from having catastrophic earthquakes. He was sentenced to life imprisonment,and is eligable for parole in 2020.
